Definitely Not Luxury

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Azamara Quest

We have sailed on many cruises, (52 to date) and Azamara was a new one for us. The Quest looks just like the smaller ships on the Oceana line and except for a few differences they are exactly the same. But only in the ships appearances. We booked this segment and the next as a back to back of Central America & Mexico. Except for Mexico all ports were new to us. So the itinerary was what got us ...

This was my first time on the Azamara. If your 50 to 75 years old (Maybe some 40 plus people??) and love being tempted with copious amounts of food and beverage then you are the target consumer. But you may be disappointed too. I know that some people complain about the limited music tastes available, and, generally, the dubious wine quality and this may well be true, but you can't please ...

My husband & I & our adult son have just returned from our, carefully researched and happily anticipated cruise around Indonesia. Our son has, well controlled & monitored, Bi Polar Disorder. Our staterooms were comfortable. The food was good quality in both the buffet & main dining room. the 'Brunch was a standout. Service there was very good. We also ate in Prime specialty restaurant & it ...

We really enjoyed our first cruise with Azamara but boy it sure has left a bad taste. On returning home to Australia we checked our bank account and noticed an unauthorised deduction of over $400 AU dollars. Numerous phone calls and promises to replace the money..that they admit should have never been taken from our account in the first place...we are still waiting. They have repaid 2 ...

Response from BonnieM, CBO - Azamara Club Cruises

Hi Tlorac, I'm sorry for that error. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding over tours purchased onboard? Without knowing the details it's hard to speculate, but I certainly do apologize for...

This was our 8th cruise with Azamara (both Journey and Quest) dating back to May, 2008 so we are familiar with the ships, many of the crew/staff members and generally know what to expect. Any comments/criticisms are not a reflection on the many friends who work on the ships that we have been able to get to know and enjoy. They are the sole reason, if any, to consider continuing with Azamara; not ...

Unfortunate Trip

We were excited to go on the Australian east coast from Sydney to Singapore starting March 22,2017. The trip started ok, the staterooms were ok, nothing special, clean, quite small but ok. The staff, mostly from the Phillipines are good, polite, they offer good service, some have a great sense of humour which is always fabulous. We were not thrilled with the food outside the specialty ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Azamara Quest

We have cruised on Azamara at least 5 time prior to this cruise so we had a level of expectation. It was not met in many respects. Since Azamara had a promotion on the air flights they booked our arrival to the San Juan airport for a 5:49 PM arrival. By the time we got our bags and a taxi it was around 7 PM when we got to the ship which was scheduled to leave at 9 PM. At the doc there were ...

We have travelled many times on Azamara, this was so looked forward to and disappointed on so many fronts. The worst was the Amazing evening, it was dreadful. The blurb said we would be met by stilt walkers and proceed carnival style to a folkloric evening, returning to the ship singing carols. Wrong on all counts. We were left to walk to the end of the pier for a performance by a ...

We chose the Aramara journey because we wanted a luxury holiday to celebrate our 70th birthday and we thought that Azamara would be a luxury trip. The prices are certainly luxury. The first disappointment was the cabin, especially the bathroom. My husband couldn't get in the shower and the cabin was very small. As it was a very rough crossing we had to spend a lot of time in the cabin. ...

Having cruised with Celebrity (regularly) and Royal Caribbean we were curious to see (what we perceived to be) the most luxurious cruise line from the RCL stable was like, and this taster cruise was a good chance to experience it. Sadly it didn't live up to our expectations. From the shambolic main dining experience to the odd assortment of cabin furniture, we were left unimpressed. The website ...
