We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. Sardinia and Corsica have been on my bucket list for a while.
We travelled to Civitavecchia by car on the day of departure and were delivered right to the ship. Embarkation went very smoothly from there. Having tried other options in the past I'd highly recommend this approach.

Chose this cruise as a bucket list choice and to see the Classic Grand Prix.
We were under the impression that the food on board was of the best - no better, in my opinion, than Celebrity or RCCL.
Main bugbear was the lack of any sort of entertainment whilst in dock. At 9.30 am there was a quiz and about 5 p.m. there was another. That's IT.

We prior had cruises with the Quest, and had a desire to see a Grand Prix. But, Azamara is engaging in gouging their guests. The price of the Grand Prix excursion was $299.00 pp for two days admission. A comfortable cabin, very good food, with interesting ports of call - was our priority. We had all these and more. The food was exceptional in the main dining room, so we did not use the 'pay' restaurants. Staff were all helpful, especially the cabin boys.

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and because it was semi all inclusive and it was on a small ship.
We flew into Rome three days before the ship departed. We visited the Vatican Museum, St Pauls, the Coliseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and went on a short night walk of Rome.
