On the first day of the cruise (October 28), my mother was giving my son a shower and he had found a piece of broken glass on the shower floor, picked it up and gave it to her. My son is 15 months old - if he stepped on the glass or ate it, my son could have been seriously injured. I am not sure we would sail with Azamara again. Let me explain a bit about our experience.
Embarkation: As someone in a wheelchair, we chose Azamara because they claimed they were accessible. When we arrived? No ramp, stairs. The ship underwent a refurb in 2018 and the results were nice.
Very bad weather hit Rome & we spent first 2 days in port near Rome. Ship's captain & crew did great job of insuring our safety and making the best of a bad situation. Friends had been on Azamara and suggested we join them. We were happy woth the itinerary, the ship was very nice and there were 2 very special events.
