Terrible Dining Room, Great Ship and Crew

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Azamara Quest

First, the Captain and crew were very good. The Captain regularly and calmly kept the passengers up to date on the number of COVID cases (both passenger and crew), and every officer and crew member we encountered during the voyage was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Service both in making up our room, to the pool deck, and dining room was very good and at times exceptional (a term we ...

We were supposed to go to St. Bart’s but shortly before departure we were notified they weren’t going there. Big disappointment! Another weak point of cruise was stop at Coco Cay. Ugly island, under construction. Way for cruise line to save money. Total waste. Should be skipped. Another weak point was stop at Terre de Haut, Guadeloupe when we thought we were going to main island of Guadeloupe. ...

Wonderful holiday voyage

We booked this about 2 years in advance. Love the small ships and the caring service. I did miss the parade of flags by the crew which was demonstrated the year before and I thought very special. This must be a Captain Jose thing. Captain Carl was great imparting information about weather and navigation issues. The holiday decorations were festive without taking over the ship. Loved the ...

This was our 4th Azamara cruise, first time on Quest. Journey and Quest are identical in looks but overall, we would say we slightly prefer Journey, mostly for the food. Not sure if the chefs move around from ship to ship, but we seemed to have enjoyed our food immensely on Journey, particularly in the specialty restaurants, and would only rate the same restaurants average to good on Quest. Also, ...

We are a couple in our early sixties. Choose a Caribbean cruise every year for the weather and ports. This was our 3rd Azamara cruise. We choose small luxury lines. We were in N2 category. As in past excursions were canceled for lack of participants. If there is something you really must do then best to do it as independent. Tender service was good. Hotel mng Philip was ...

The Quest is nice, but I prefer the Journey.

Stayed two nights at the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon St. NOLA. Booked King sized room six months before cruise. When we got there we were told that all the rooms were sold out. They tried to give us a room that was used as a meeting room with a pullout sofa bed at half price. It was wasn't until we demanded to see the manager that we received a bedroom/bath from a suite. The refurbishing ...

We chose Azamara because rumours said it is a pleasant ship for seniors. Only 600 very friendly and social pax. A wonderful crew spoilt us rotten, food was excellent and allthough we love our grandkids, we do appreciate a cruise with no kids. It is also nice not to have to sign or show your key-card every time you have a drink, a glass of wine or a cappuccino. Entertainment was OK - but ...

We arrived at the port and the Azamara/Celebrity/Royal Caribbean was the first parking structure. I pulled up to the terminal and was greeted by a friendly porter who asked our cabin number. We told him and he said I will take care of your luggage. He escorted my wife to a seat to wait for me until I parked my car. I drove into the parking area. Parked and walked across the road to meet my wife. ...
