Israel became Egypt/Rhodes/Crete
"1) they did a good job with the last minute plans for Egypt, I would have been extremely disappointed if this had turned into a Greek island cruise 2) the ship was clean, food was good, service was very good 3) embarking without our full documents due to website challenges was very good 4) getting on/off for all excursions was good, always efficient 5) the basic drinks package does not include any liqueur so you need to either pay as you go or upgrade; we decided to upgrade and it was fun to enjoy the full list of available cocktails 6) you really have to persist to get the upgraded wines at meals, given the cost of the ultimate package this is unnecessary 7) we ate at Aqualina one night and were disappointed, the food was barely warm and pasta over cooked. We enjoyed dinner in the main dining room all other evenings 8) disembarking was very easy (especially compared to our experience in Copenhagen in 2018) 9) we booked our next cruise while on the ship - because they couldn't get us a Canadian price at the moment we signed on to the Azamara website to see the price...."Read More

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Second time on this ship, first time post covid and hopes were high. I think it is important to differentiate between brands and definitions of ‘luxury small ship cruising’ before offering a fair review. Azamara offers small ship all-inclusive cruising in a boutique setting. This is NOT 6 star (hate that phrase anyway). If you are looking for the above with an all-suite, all-butler style ...

As other reviewer said, dreadful start but got better!

As embarkation goes, it has to be the worst in all my years cruising. There were only 550 odd of us but it over 2 hours in makeshift tents, fighting for seats, coffee and biscuits ran out and after we got on and did the mandatory safety briefing - the buffet had closed. We’d set off from Gatwick before 7.00am so we were tired, hungry and thirsty - NOT a good first impression of Azamara ...

Friends had been with Azamara on a number of occasions. We have been on many cruise ships, but were encouraged by the good reviews. We received no information about the cruise in anyway whatsoever until about 2 days before. Had to ring repeatedly. Very sad to hear Azamazing would not be taking place. It was one of the reasons we chose the cruise. We had 2 days in Rome hotel which was lovely, ...

Guest Relations Department is THE worst!

Ship was fine. Food was pretty good, some hits, some misses. Excursions were well organized, and for the most part, the local guides were quite good. Service in the cabin and bars was excellent. Some restaurants and stations had better servers than others. Internet was the worst of any cruise ship I have been on. Guest relations is where the ship totally fails. Azamara needs to clean house ...

Small Ship Cruisin’

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

So we are 1st time Azamara cruisers. We did enjoy the small ship feel, don’t need all the large ship bells and whistles. It was great being able to sit and eat a meal without a photographer coming to the table asking to take a picture! The Living Room, The Den, and Discoveries bars were perfect for a cocktail before dinner and a night cap before bed. We only went to the Main Dining room and ...

Overall Disappointing Experience - NEVER AGAIN

Positives: The Staff and Crew were excellent and provided excellent customer service. The food was excellent. The ship was clean. Negatives: The Azamara website nightmare. What guests were put through before boarding is beyond acceptable. We brought every piece of paperwork with us, and Azamara still could not reconcile the Special Dinner Package I purchased before boarding- I had ...

We have been cruising since 1985 and have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Regent, Norwegian, Oceania and Viking River cruises. All have their pluses but we find Azamara Cruises to fit us best for several reasons. The staff on all Azamara ships are service-oriented, friendly and courteous. The size of their ships allow for docking in central locations and minimizing long and ...

Fun and comfortable way to party in Monaco!

My husband I have been long time Formula 1 fans for well over 10 years or more. We each turned 50 during the pandemic and couldn’t celebrate it properly. Going to watch the F1 Monaco Grand Prix is high up on our bucket list, so when we found out about cruises that go to Monaco during the Grand Prix weekend, we were very excited! I did a lot of research over the winter about all the cruise lines ...

We chose this cruise over a year ago with the expectation of going to the Greek Isles and Israel. However, a week before the ship was due to leave on April 15th from Athens Greece, we were notified that our cruise has been redirected to Egypt with tours to Alexandria and Cairo to see the Pyramids due to the turmoil in Israel. I know the ships' captain was looking out for the welfare of the ...

We specifically booked this trip for the 4 days in Israel. It was my 4th booking for this (or similar) sailing; Azamara cancelled the first 2 and the 3rd was cancelled by covid. Sadly due to the current situation Azamara changed our intinerary. 1) they did a good job with the last minute plans for Egypt, I would have been extremely disappointed if this had turned into a Greek island ...
