"00am so we were tired, hungry and thirsty - NOT a good first impression of Azamara ships,
Sadly my balcony had an obscured view (I was NOT made aware of this when I booked) so was really disappointed when I get in my cabin. The buffet though wasn’t good - I only ate there twice and the food was tepid...."Read More

1-10 of 52 Azamara Pursuit Cruise Reviews for Luxury to Europe - Western Mediterranean
Second time on this ship, first time post covid and hopes were high. I think it is important to differentiate between brands and definitions of ‘luxury small ship cruising’ before offering a fair review.
Azamara offers small ship all-inclusive cruising in a boutique setting. This is NOT 6 star (hate that phrase anyway). If you are looking for the above with an all-suite, all-butler style ...
As embarkation goes, it has to be the worst in all my years cruising. There were only 550 odd of us but it over 2 hours in makeshift tents, fighting for seats, coffee and biscuits ran out and after we got on and did the mandatory safety briefing - the buffet had closed.
We’d set off from Gatwick before 7.00am so we were tired, hungry and thirsty - NOT a good first impression of Azamara ...
Friends had been with Azamara on a number of occasions. We have been on many cruise ships, but were encouraged by the good reviews. We received no information about the cruise in anyway whatsoever until about 2 days before. Had to ring repeatedly. Very sad to hear Azamazing would not be taking place. It was one of the reasons we chose the cruise. We had 2 days in Rome hotel which was lovely, ...
So we are 1st time Azamara cruisers. We did enjoy the small ship feel, don’t need all the large ship bells and whistles. It was great being able to sit and eat a meal without a photographer coming to the table asking to take a picture! The Living Room, The Den, and Discoveries bars were perfect for a cocktail before dinner and a night cap before bed. We only went to the Main Dining room and ...
Positives:
The Staff and Crew were excellent and provided excellent customer service.
The food was excellent.
The ship was clean.
Negatives:
The Azamara website nightmare. What guests were put through before boarding is beyond acceptable. We brought every piece of paperwork with us, and Azamara still could not reconcile the Special Dinner Package I purchased before boarding- I had ...
We have been cruising since 1985 and have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Regent, Norwegian, Oceania and Viking River cruises. All have their pluses but we find Azamara Cruises to fit us best for several reasons. The staff on all Azamara ships are service-oriented, friendly and courteous. The size of their ships allow for docking in central locations and minimizing long and ...
My husband I have been long time Formula 1 fans for well over 10 years or more. We each turned 50 during the pandemic and couldn’t celebrate it properly. Going to watch the F1 Monaco Grand Prix is high up on our bucket list, so when we found out about cruises that go to Monaco during the Grand Prix weekend, we were very excited! I did a lot of research over the winter about all the cruise lines ...
My daughter and I both took a girlfriend for the Italy and Greece cruise April 1st on Azamara Pursuit. We all loved it. It was decorated like a nice boutique hotel. We were more than pleased with the cabins and the quality of food and service. Despite the cruise being at capacity the service was absolutely excellent. We asked for our favorite waiters each night and were sat in their sections in a ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because we’ve travelled before on an “R” class ship (one of Oceania’s). We travelled from New Zealand to London to see friends after 3 years of covid lockdown separation. Having been caught out by travelling to the port on embarkation day in the past we built a day into our itinerary to get from London to Bordeaux. This worked in our favour as the ...
The sail-in to Sevilla, Spain alone was worth the trip. We were so very lucky with the weather too, not a drop of rain the entire time.
Unfortunately, Azamara's service has declined and no longer offers what once was a family and familiar atmosphere. The familiar "Welcome aboard/Home" greetings are gone. Most staff (wait and bar staff being the exception) just go through the motions. Hard to ...
