We loved our 2019 Journey cruise so we were looking forward to a similar experience. Check in in Miami was flawless. Our balcony cabin was cramped, as we expected from earlier cruise. The big disappointment was the balcony. Very uncomfortable stark gray plastic chairs (knife edge style arms!) with a gray dining height table. We called it the interrogation cell with a view and ended up not spending ...
Having not sailed Azamara in close to 8 years, after close to 20 cruises we chose to revisit Azamara based on their unique itinerary. We were able to see Cuba, and the three ABC islands to fill in gaps in our trips through the Caribbean. After 8 years Azamara is no longer the line it once was. In some ways it’s better than it used to be, and in other ways not as good as it used to be. Let’s all ...
This our first Azamara cruise. We have been on similar Oceania R class ships 5 times before. Although in the future we will continue book future cruises based on destination, we would much rather sail with Oceania. There is a much more corporate culture on board of providing service.
The main dining room's food we felt compared very well to Oceania's. Service and ambiance however left ...
My overall ranking would be good rather than average, but there is no option. They are re-doing the ship as of now. I hope they pay attention to my reviews.
I enjoyed the first few days of the cruise. Trip was jan 3=13, journey. Panama canal, costa rica & other. My cabin was very nice as i was upgraded. (tiny bathroom but ok.) i thanked the desk on the first day. I bought my special meal ...
Been on Azamara several times. The brand is in the luxury market and priced accordingly and, in this light, I think it has slipped from its original standards. The staff are still very good and attentive but the food quality has just lost its edge compared to other lines like Regent and some of the menus used in Discoveries were worn which is not a good look. As well, the major entertainment is ...
I was disappointed because I expected a better standard of cabin, food and entertainment.
The cabin was shabby. The bed linen had seen better days and the valance was coming away from the mattress . There were stains on the carpet. The drawers were not easy to use and the furniture was scuffed.
The food was mediocre - very dry chicken on two occasions . Fine dining however was very ...
Overall a fun cruise because I made sure to have fun and meet a lot of people. Started off with a hitch....upon boarding I noticed that most of the public toilets were "closed for maintenance" but no one was cleaning them, the doors were just closed. My stateroom was nice and clean and cabin attendants were very nice..Luis & Eris and happy to please. We sailed off without problems and by the first ...
We booked the February 18 Los Angeles to Caldera and March 4 Caldera to Los Angeles via the Panama Canal while on two 2013 Azamara cruises (Norwegian Fjords and Hamburg to Southhapmpton). Normally, we book a future cruise or cruises while on board to take advantage of the booking on board discount. While these two Quest cruises generally met our expectations, for the first time in almost 5 years ...
Recently cruised on the Azamara Journey January 3, 2010 thru the Panama Canal. We mainly cruise with Celebrity and a few times on Royal Caribbean. Our last cruise was in May 2009 on Royal Caribbean's "Independence of the Sea", which at the time was the largest cruise ship afloat. We decided to try a small ship and RCI had the luxury line Azamara cruises under the Celebrity Brand.
Embarkation was ...
Report on Azamara Quest: 12/22/07-1/5/08 Acapulco-Panama Canal-Miami
On board: Nice touches: great service, good food. Nice ambiance and very attractive smaller boat. Crew generally friendly and worked very hard to please. Stewards are called butlers and while their service is excellent, they do no more than a good steward on a Celebrity or other similar cruise line. We experienced none of the ...
