I chose the BTB cruises of Scotland and Ireland because of the itineraries. Loved all the places where we docked, especially Oban in Scotland and Dublin and Londonderry in Ireland. Special thanks to cabin steward Malik. And a shout-out to 3 super-talented (and nice ) people:Stephen , a terrific cruise director - Jose, the assistant cruise director- and singer-pianist Vasi. This trio ...

This was our 4th trip on Azamara, all of which have been on Journey so boarding feels very familiar. We embarked in Amsterdam which was extremely well organised and we were surprised t be recognised by the Hotel Director from our previous cruise. That feels good and coincidentally was useful as we had had a lot of pre-cruise problems which we had been unable to resolve . This included booking us ...

No Viking Slayer Here

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Journey

We booked this cruise to get a comparison of our extensive experience with Viking. We’d lost our affinity for Viking due to a nasty situation regarding a cancelled cruise credit due us. So, we felt Azamara might be our next logical choice to try. Embarkation: We landed at 7:00 am in London, waited in a crowded seating area for other passengers to board a bus to Southampton. That was okay, but ...

Wonderful cruise in Norway

We sailed in July with Azamara for the second time. Our first cruise with Azamarawas on the Pursuit in the Autumn of last year. The only real difference we could see between the ships was the Casino, when that is removed and the Lounge becomes bigger it is a definite improvement. However The Journey is a lovely ship, we did not notice any shabby areas, she gleamed! Add to the experience the ...

There were 6 of us on this cruise, one couple with 4 other women. We started our trip with 3 days in London. Some of us had been on the Journey before and looked forward to coming back. Those new to it loved the cruise. We choose this for the ship and the itinerary. The service was excellent as expected. We loved "welcome home" every-time we returned to the ship. Embarkation was slow ...

The Captain Set The Tone, Showing Us Norway Through His Eyes

Azamara folk are incredibly loyal and proud of their ship, and that’s just the guests! (Well, the staff are loyal and proud too). This was our first Azamara cruise, so I’m barely qualified to write this review, surrounded as we were by guests cruising Azamara for their fifth, tenth, even twentieth time in its ten-year history. The Captain set the tone, sociable, warm, and happy to show us ...

Baltics Cruise - Extremely well done

We chose this cruise because, during a previous World Journey cruise, we were told that the Baltics was where we should go next. We have found that, even though we think we are well traveled, those we spoke with on that cruise made us feel we never left our state. The reason that we keep coming back to the Azamara Journey is because of the intimacy of the experience. The crew continues to ...

Another excellent cruise on this ship

This was our second ocean cruise and on the same ship as our first in 2017 and with the same captain. Everything was great on this cruise as well. We again routinely went to the Living Room for pre-dinner tapas and a drink before going to the main restaurant about 8 pm. There was a very good, laid back, trio: vocalist, keyboard and an excellent guitarist. Very relaxing after a busy day in port. ...

DEBACLE AT GREENWICH

An unusual itinerary and a keen price.. The itinerary from which we booked showed arrival in Greenwich on 9th September at 1.15pm tendered. The ship was late and the tendering procedure using local tenders was appalling. The tender journey was short (approximately 5 minutes)but the one tender provided took 30 or 40 minutes to make a round trip. The result was that a huge line built up and we did ...

Outstanding cruise - one of our best

Had a wonderful time on our Azamara Journey cruise which began in Copenhagen and ended with an absolutely splendid, majestic sail right up the Thames in London to end in picturesque maritime Greenwich. We flew the short hop to Copenhagen a day prior to the cruise and stayed at the Hotel Absalon, three minutes walk from the Central Station and six minutes walk from Tivoli World where we spent ...
