"I rank Azamara second to my cruise with Cunard in their Junior Queen suites and slightly above Oceania, which had a newer ship, but their food overall was not as good as Azamara's.I did not sleep well the entire cruise due to the temperature even though the bed was comfortable...."Read More

1-10 of 99 Azamara Journey Outside Cabin Cruise Reviews
While searching for cruise-related information on the internet, I noticed an offer from Azamara for a last-minute deal on a cruise to Cypress, Israel, and Egypt. The price was excellent--less than I had just paid for a Princess cruise of the same length 2 months earlier. When I first saw the ship from the outside, I was taken aback as it appeared to be a much older-looking ship than I imagined. ...
Azamara Journey 11-30-19
We booked the Azamara Journey 12 days before embarkation as our planned Galapagos adventure on the Celebrity Xpedition was canceled by the cruise line. This back to back cruise, the “9-Night Caribbean Highlights Voyage” followed by the “7-Night Caribbean Breezes Voyage” was available at a terrific price and with nice booking incentives. As we had always wanted to try ...

We had never cruised because the thought of a floating city with 1000s of people sounded like a nightmare. We liked the idea of a smaller ship and the longer times on shore really appealed to us. We also liked the ports of call.
We were pleased beyond our wildest expectations! From our cabin steward to the captain, including the hotel director, Cruise director and Assistant cruise director, ...
Welcome CMATraveller,
We at Azamara are honored to have been your first cruise, and subsequently your first cruise review on Cruise Critic! So glad you loved it. Thank you for booking your...
Went with a big group from my country club development. The pros were that the size of the ship was very manageable and easy to navigate, no lines or waiting for anything. Staff were friendly and helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Had a standard outside stateroom with window that was small but adequate. Best restaurant was Aquilina by a long shot. The spa was decent
The cons are a bit ...
As a first time cruiser I was not sure what to expect however with excellent accommodation, excellent food, attentive, competent and friendly staff, there was little that could or did go wrong.
Dining...Didn't need to upgrade to any of the packages on offer and ate mostly in the Windows and Patio areas. a delight.
Booze....Didn't need to upgrade to any kind of premium package, the wines on ...
My 7th time on Azamara and 4th time on Journey.
This was my 36th cruise so trust my remarks. I have sailed on RCCL, Holland, NCL, Disney,
Carnival, Princess and more.
I escorted my group of 26 on the Journey for the 9 night intensive Cuba.
Pre-Cruise hotel: JW Marriott on Brickell, fantastic.
Ship Staff: Wonderful as ALWAYS!! From the stewards to Capt Johannes!
Ship: Old World ...
This was our 1st cruise in 14 years, and we have been intrigued by Cuba for even longer. As new empty nesters and not yet retired, costs still are kind of a thing. Some of our choices reflect some effort at economy, which we found is achievable even on Azamara. Our past cruise experience had been on 2,000+ passenger behemoths; part of this review relates to the (first for us) small ship ...
We picked Azamara because of the itinerary: three ports in Cuba. The price was high, but it was billed as a "premium line" so we thought the cost would be worth the experience. We loved Cuba; I had arranged private guides through FerTours (hats off to Alex!) in Havana and Cienfuegos and through Out of the Box tours in Santiago (Lisandra did an excellent job). In all three cities we traveled in ...
We are a British couple in our sixties. This was our second Azamara cruise.
Embarkation at Miami took the best part of an hour, complicated by queuing to get and complete the Guest Travel Certification form for Cuba before proceeding to another queue for check-in. It would have been nice if those of us who had downloaded and completed the form prior to arrival could have been ...
