We had one third of a view. The sides of the lifeboats blocked the view completely on both sides.

We loved our value-oriented midships cabin and would book it again. The cabin stewerds were excellent, the bed large and comfortable (tall people may find it too short), and the room well-equipped with lighting, a flat screen TV (limited channels, but that's not what you cruise for), places to plug things in, and a surprisingly lot of clothing and personal effects storage given the small overall layout. The bathroom was small and the shower microscopic, but it got the job done. Importantly, the room was well insulated from the pitching motion of the ship, from vibrations and from the sounds of other humans and equipment. It was pretty muich dead silent. Read Less

This cabin is smaller than the normal ocean view cabins and has a partially obstructed view, but you can still see out completely because the lifeboats are on either side of the window. The closet space is great and I found it fine for one person, although it might be a little crowded for two. I booked it again for some future cruises as I was very pleased wih the value of the room compared to higher priced cabins. Read Less

The cabin is located between life boats so we had a complete view of the ocean/shorelines. However it was turned crosswise which caused the door to swing open into the bed, and therefore the floor space was quite limited for other furniture. The small desktop was useless as it was occupied by an unnecessary phone (could have been hung on the wall next to mirror), a bowl of fruit with plate/flatware, a bowl of flowers rather than a slender vase, the ice bucket/tray/glassware and the much necessary bottles of water. There was barely space to lay the electronic items while they were plugged in for charging! It was nice that they had 4 outlets, 2 110 and 2 240 which we could use adapters with. Upon initial arrival it looked like we'd be leaving everything in the suitcases, but once we started unpacking we discovered that between the 4 closet drawers, the 4 desk drawers and 2 shelves, and the two nightstands, we were able to totally empty the cases and stow them under the beds. But if you are claustrophobic I suggest you get a larger cabin! Read Less

Our cabin was smaller than we have ben used to on other cruise lines, but was in a great location on the ship, and was beautifully decorated, with great touches like lighting in the wardrobes and a complimentary minibar. The bathroom was tiny, but overall the cabin was great. I have to say that although we knew that we were in a restricted view cabin, I was surprised that right outside the window was a lifeboat, which meant that to see outside we had to peer through the lifeboat windows! The bathroom was tiny and some of the shelves were directly above the toilet, had to be careful to close the lid or risk dropping things into the toilet. Cabin smaller than anticipated but fine for a solo traveler. had been informed at booking that I would have a partially obstructed view but in fact my view was completely obstructed by a life boat. Sea and sky only just visible from the window at various awkward positions. cabin dark most of the time. There was a very malodorous smell in the bathroom which didn't get resolved before i left although despite the efforts of the crew and officers. Read Less
