Deeply disappointing

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Pursuit

Friends had been with Azamara on a number of occasions. We have been on many cruise ships, but were encouraged by the good reviews. We received no information about the cruise in anyway whatsoever until about 2 days before. Had to ring repeatedly. Very sad to hear Azamazing would not be taking place. It was one of the reasons we chose the cruise. We had 2 days in Rome hotel which was lovely, ...

Luxury? Not in my book

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Onward

Since we'd never sailed with Azamara before, we thought we'd give them a try. We'd seen a few vlogs which impressed us. We booked in February 2022. The prices - which also included flights from the UK - were very good. We chose a Club Continent Suite. And this included a very generous $1000 onboard credit. Shortly after receiving the confirmation, I spotted that the itinerary was missing the ...

Needs Work - definitely not a "luxury" ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Onward

After reading on the Azamara board that.. "the reviews section seems to get a lot of 'one and done's – and that group of posters is always more negative than those who have more experience (with a cruise line, and with cruising in general)" .. I figured I would post my two cents as a multi time Azamara guest and long time cruiser (Celebrity, Azamara and SeaDream) and a "Destination Expert" on ...

Azamara not ready for prime time

We took this cruise for our 25th anniversary, and we had sailed 4 times prior on Azamara 0ver the last few years. The ports all seemed great, so we booked about 8 months in advance. Shortly before the cruise, between not knowing where the ship would dock, Venice, Ravenna or ?, it was decided that it would sail from Ravenna and Azamara would bus us down to Ravenna from Venice airport, 2.5 hours. ...

ONWARD SAILED BEFORE REFURBISHMENT COMPLETE AND SUPPLY PROBLEMS

We chose to sail with Azamara again after enjoying a wonderful cruise on Pursuit in February 2020 from Buenos Aires to Rio for the carnival. Both the itinerary and ship were first class. The Croatia Intensive cruise was taken after a cruise in March 2022 from Singapore to Japan was cancelled by the Company. I emailed Azamara in August 2020 wishing to have confirmation of departure from ...

This was to be our first cruise with Azamara, we were looking forward to a completely different direction and experience, and boy we got that. Initially, our embarkation was changed from Venice to Ravenna, not a problem until we realized that Azamara had no intention of answering one single email. I emailed every department for boarding instructions and where to meet etc. I had to call the US from ...

We arrived to the ship on the time and day of embarkment, But the ship and crew were not ready for embarkment, and they left us all waiting outside for quite a while. After flights, we were tired and ready to be on the ship. When we were finally let on to the ship, we saw that they were still painting the inside, and our rooms were not ready. We were notified before our departure that we must ...

Very Disappointing - Not a Luxury Cruise

We have sailed with Azamara 3 times before and selected the cruise on Pursuit as it went to Corsica and Sardinia 2 islands we had not been to. Lets start with the positives. We were in a continental suite on deck 8. It was OK. Pursuit had undergone a refurbishment and the fitted furniture in the suite had been replaced with Ikea style units. The suite is cramped compared with many of the newer ...

I chose this ship mostly due to the itinery. Having sailed numerous times with Celebrity, Holland America, RC and carnival I decided to upgrade to a luxury cruise. I brought along my husband who isn't crazy about cruising but, but since it was close to our 30th anniversary he did it for me. I also brought along a couple who have never cruised before. So Ill start with the good....Staff was ...

Dirty glasses, untrained staff and not as accesible as they claim

I am not sure we would sail with Azamara again. Let me explain a bit about our experience. Embarkation: As someone in a wheelchair, we chose Azamara because they claimed they were accessible. When we arrived? No ramp, stairs. We were shown to the embarkation point, which was a stairway up to the ship. When I asked where the ramp was, I was told that it was being used to load the luggage. So, 4 ...
