We have cruised over 12 voyages on various cruise lines, including a river cruise and have had varied experiences. We had heard great things about Azamara and we were not disappointed. Yes, the earlier technical glitches were unnerving but thanks to the many loyal Azamara regulars on this site, our concerns were allayed.
While the room was smaller that we expected, we found lots of cubbies to ...
So we are 1st time Azamara cruisers. We did enjoy the small ship feel, don’t need all the large ship bells and whistles. It was great being able to sit and eat a meal without a photographer coming to the table asking to take a picture! The Living Room, The Den, and Discoveries bars were perfect for a cocktail before dinner and a night cap before bed. We only went to the Main Dining room and ...
Although we had been to most of the destinations on the itinerary before, we chose this cruise to get a taste of what was described as a 6 star experience, and whilst we enjoyed the overall cruise there were some aspects that were definitely not 6 star, starting with the embarkation process which could only be described as diabolical. Azamara is a lovely cruise line but it seems to cater to an older and a more sedate crowd. We prefer a more lively bar scene and love the martini bar on celebrity. We never found a place that really had a big enough bar to allow for a lively bar scene. They ...
Thank you linbagz for trying Azamara, and for writing the insightful cruise review.
Who knows, maybe a Martini Bar will be in our combined futures!
We hope to welcome you back aboard, if not...
We chose this cruise as our wine shop was sponsoring the trip for customers. We had 46 people in our group. We were in Cabin 8052 which was right next to the elevators and stair well midship. We had our doubts as to the possible noise level for the location, but it was never a problem, we had no noise at all from the elevator and stairwell traffic. The room itself was very good with lots of ...
