We are a couple in our early sixties. Choose a Caribbean cruise every year for the weather and ports. This was our 3rd Azamara cruise. We choose small luxury lines.
We were in N2 category.
As in past excursions were canceled for lack of participants. If there is something you really must do then best to do it as independent.

This was our first cruise ever, so did not know what to expect.
We paid extra to have Azamara arrange all our flights and transfers, which at the time we thought to be expensive.
However the whole experience was stress free, the hotels were good, and the transfers were seamless, so we felt it was money well spent.

We have cruised on Azamara at least 5 time prior to this cruise so we had a level of expectation. It was not met in many respects.
Since Azamara had a promotion on the air flights they booked our arrival to the San Juan airport for a 5:49 PM arrival. By the time we got our bags and a taxi it was around 7 PM when we got to the ship which was scheduled to leave at 9 PM.

We have travelled many times on Azamara, this was so looked forward to and disappointed on so many fronts.
The worst was the Amazing evening, it was dreadful.The blurb said we would be met by stilt walkers and proceed carnival style to a folkloric evening, returning to the ship singing carols.

We've been cruising the holidays with Celebrity they past 3 years and had gotten bored and felt Celebrity has gone backwards in terms of service and dining. So, we spotted a fair deal on this 8 nighter on the Quest and gave Azamara a try.

Overall, a very good cruise. We were on a Thanksgiving Day cruise to the eastern Caribbean, with port calls at five islands.

Long time cruiser but first with Azamara.
The ship was undergoing an annual Coast Guard Inspection so we were delayed embarkation until 12:30. We arrived at that time and our wait was 15 minutes. Check in went smoothly. We sailed on Journey for 10 nights beginning March 16, 2016. We were notified in advance that due to an inspection by the Coast Guard, boarding would begin at 12:30 with sailing at 5 PM.

We just returned from an 11 day cruise on the Azamara Journey. The ship had come out of dry dock prematurely. The company allegedly allowed only 2 weeks to do a complete overhaul. There were weather issues and allegedly supplier problems.
