The cruise visited a total of 9 ports and there were 4 complete "at sea" days. We wanted a relaxing, luxurious cruise -- and that's what we received -- in spades ! Ports :- Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Rouen, Bordeaux, Gijon(N.Spain), La Caruna (N.Spain), Gibraltar, Mahon(Menorca), Barcelona. The outstanding features were :- *The high standard of food in the free dining areas -- Window's Cafe for ...

Azamara Journey British Isles - August 2010....

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Azamara Journey

We sailed on The Azamara Journey 12-day British Isles cruise from Copenhagen. Upon arrival in Copenhagen we stayed at a hotel that was in the center of the city; we took the train from the airport to the hotel. Copenhagen is such an easy city to navigate, and the people are so friendly and helpful. we found a restaurant (Tight) that was very reasonable, considering expensive Copenhagen, and ...

Azamara Journey - Northern European Cruise - Baltic Sea

Back in July 2010 my mother and I went on this cruise and we had such a spectacular time I had to write about it two years later. We arrived in Copenhagen about two days before departure. I was glad we decided to do this because it allowed us to get used to the time change a bit before we started cruising. The ship was very beautiful and I loved the smaller size - about 650ish capacity. We had ...

Azamara Journey Summer Baltic

I am a 50 something and my wife of 25 years is not. We've done a cruise a year for the past 15 or so years - mostly on Celebrity ships. We have just returned from taking the Azamara Journey Baltic cruise and we would rate the itinerary and ship as probably our best cruise vacation yet. The small ship experience, the dining, and the extended stays in port were the plusses that put this cruise over ...

Delightful Azamara JOURNEY over-delivered in many ways!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Azamara Journey

The ship was comfortable in all weather conditions, thanks to stabilizers. Small enough to get into all but one port (Geiranger, Norway) without tendering. The ship was built ten years ago and shows her age. But staff (friendly and willing) and food (delicious and plentiful) more than made up for it. The ship was big enough to offer choices in food and entertainment, but small enough to retain ...

JULY 12 THE JOURNEY STARTED... DELTA WAS ON TIME ALL THE WAY TO CPH. WHAT A TREAT. CPH IS HOT . Used AZ transportation to ship. Not a good start as they kept us waiting at airport for 45 minutes with no AC. Told driver to put on air and he responded... no English. I tracked down a supervisor and we got the bus cranked up and headed for the ship . Get on ship and Sea Card has me as Elite and wife ...

We just returned from the Azamara Journey to the Baltic. It was a 12 day cruise which just flew by! Embarkation was as simple as it could be. The staff was extremely welcoming upon arrival and stayed that way during the entire cruise. Everyone had a smile and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were small as we expected but very very clean. We were well aware before the cruise of the small ...

My husband and I and our 11 year old son have travelled in Europe extensively on our own, but had never been on a cruise before. I started researching ways to visit St Petersburg Russia and discovered that we could actually see several destinations if we took a "Baltic Cruise." After extensive internet research, I determined that a smaller ship might give a more intimate experience and personal ...

We can't say enough about how very much we enjoyed this cruise. This was our second voyage on the Azamara Journey and we were able to renew friendships with many of the officers and crew that we had met on our previous cruise. The outstanding staff and crew go out of their way to do anything and everything possible to make the cruise a wonderful experience and they are truly the strength of ...

The Norwegian Fjords on the Azamara Journey

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Journey

We chose the itinerary, not the ship. We wanted to see the Norwegian fjords. We did NOT want a day in Stockholm, a day in Helsinki, or two days in St. Petersburg, because we think cities deserve--and reward--more time than that. This was the only itinerary focusing exclusively on the fjords. Thanks to Azamara for offering this superlative trip. We've cruised Alaska, have driven the coast of ...
