I chose the BTB cruises of Scotland and Ireland because of the itineraries.
Loved all the places where we docked, especially Oban in Scotland and Dublin and Londonderry in Ireland.
Special thanks to cabin steward Malik.
And a shout-out to 3 super-talented (and nice ) people:Stephen , a terrific cruise director -
Jose, the assistant cruise director- and singer-pianist Vasi. This trio ...
Just returning from Iceland intensive cruise and were very pleased with the trip.
All of the Azamara ships are old but they are well maintained. I am sure if you looked for it you could spot areas which could be improved but we don’t approach a holiday in that way and didn’t see anything we were unhappy about.
As appears in most reviews cabins are on the small side and so is the shower room. ...
I chose this cruise because the itinerary looked good and azamara was owned by Royal Caribbean but was higher end.
This by far is the absolute worst cruise comyI have been on. I have gone on many Princess, royal caribbean, Norwegian and celebrity cruises without any complaints.
Issues with Azamara began prior to the cruise. Azamara lost all their information of my fully paid cruise, hotel ...
This was our first Azamara cruise, and with continuing issues with their website, we were a little concerned about the whole experience. I'm used to having all my documents in hand and luggage tags on all my bags before I board, and that just didn't happen; but that being said, it was the smoothest embarkation ever!
We realized early on that we love being on a smaller ship. The staff was ...
This was our 4th trip on Azamara, all of which have been on Journey so boarding feels very familiar. We embarked in Amsterdam which was extremely well organised and we were surprised t be recognised by the Hotel Director from our previous cruise. That feels good and coincidentally was useful as we had had a lot of pre-cruise problems which we had been unable to resolve . This included booking us ...
The Norwegian Fjords were on our bucket list. We had one planned on Celebrity in 2020 but that was cancelled due to Covid. We kept looking and find one on Azamara that went where we wanted to go. We have cruised on Celebrity (we are Elite Plus), Oceania, Viking, and Royal Caribbean. Azamara used to be part of the Royal Caribbean family but that changed in February. We were still excited to go even ...
Azamara, simply was not an elite criuse adventure. Their customer service was terrible from the start, no one waiting to pick us up or to help with lost luggage etc. The food overall was not good. The ship was 21 years old, sold 4 times and showed it. I do have a few pictures to show it. They were very disorganized, even giving us the wrong luggage tags on departure. We took all our luggage ...
Positives:
The Staff and Crew were excellent and provided excellent customer service.
The food was excellent.
The ship was clean.
Negatives:
The Azamara website nightmare. What guests were put through before boarding is beyond acceptable. We brought every piece of paperwork with us, and Azamara still could not reconcile the Special Dinner Package I purchased before boarding- I had ...
So we are 1st time Azamara cruisers. We did enjoy the small ship feel, don’t need all the large ship bells and whistles. It was great being able to sit and eat a meal without a photographer coming to the table asking to take a picture! The Living Room, The Den, and Discoveries bars were perfect for a cocktail before dinner and a night cap before bed. We only went to the Main Dining room and ...
We have been cruising since 1985 and have cruised on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Regent, Norwegian, Oceania and Viking River cruises. All have their pluses but we find Azamara Cruises to fit us best for several reasons. The staff on all Azamara ships are service-oriented, friendly and courteous. The size of their ships allow for docking in central locations and minimizing long and ...
