"The biggest negative, apart from the ship based entertainment, was the complimentary wine offering - they were, in the main, awful - spend a few dollars more and make the drinks drinkable!First impressions are that the ship is looking a little tired with some areas needing a spruce up but overall these issues are not major...."Read More

1-10 of 136 Azamara Journey Cruise Reviews for Gay & Lesbian to Asia
Azamara's ships are older and beginning to show their age but are clean and well-maintained. Our wheelchair-accessible suite was comfortable with plenty of storage. The bath including roll-in shower is small but with good access. The cabin door is power operated. We found the food as good or better than expected with the exception of Aquilina. Choose Prime C instead. The main dining room is also ...
Had some reservations about Azamara as the company had changed hands since our last cruise with them. However, we were happy with the ship, cabin comfortable, excellent cabin attendant Raymond. Food good in dining room and buffet.
We enjoyed the destination lectures.
Agree with previous reviewer, the drummers from Kagoshima were amazing.
Also the buffet on the deck before we reached ...
This is our 6th cruise with Azamara and we were somewhat concerned at how things would be on board after suffering through the booking process on the new, badly implemented and frankly appalling booking system.
First impressions are that the ship is looking a little tired with some areas needing a spruce up but overall these issues are not major.
Officers and crew are, as usual, outstanding ...
The ship has an elegant interior which is kept spotlessly clean. All passengers were greeted with a glass of champagne on embarkation which foreshadowed the great service for the whole cruise. Cabins were immediately available so after unpacking we went to the aft buffet for a snack. We were warmly greeted and treated to nice glasses of wine while admiring the view of Hong Kong in somewhat chilly ...
Our 2nd Journey trek and we were actually impressed how much the service has actually improved.... and I didn’t think here was much room for that. The staff could not be better....from knowing your drink favorite to opening your cabin door and everything in between.
Food...excellent in every way..variety, presentation, quality all good. Prime C excellent as always, Aquilina has good apps but ...
After 7 previous cruise with Azamara this cruise was the straw that broke the camels back.
The crew again were the highlight of the cruise. The entertainment was terrible or worse the on board lectures where boring how much do you need to know about Asia. The casino should be closed hardly any one playing. With a death and 4 broken arms and GI during the cruise more like a hospital ship than a ...
We are sorry you were so disappointed with your eighth cruise with us, and we are sorry to lose you J Curtis. Wishing you only smooth sailing in your future....
We choose this cruise based on it's itinerary...Singapore, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Cochin India, Goa India, Mumbai (Bombay) India & Dubai. There were 7 days "at sea". I have been cruising for over 35 years....53 cruises....on many different cruise lines. In my opinion this cruise had the worst entertainment of any voyage that we have been on. Azamara has made the decision to eliminate all ...
We booked this back to back a year before whilst on the Journey. Check in at Singapore was the worst we’d experienced in our long cruising history. Once aboard the customary welcome glass of champagne was not offered although other guests were walking around with them.
In fairness our balcony cabin was lovely - spotless clean with regular towel/bedding changes.
Our biggest disappointment ...
I'm so sorry you were unhappy with the entertainment on your B2B with us drummer2344. Please know we are continually listening to our guests' feedback. I will make sure the appropriate...
good value for what you get.
Ship is wonderful with only 700.
Food is excellent in all areas
Entertainment was changed from shows to Opera and Sting trio, it was O.K but not for everybody. Should have had more recognizable songs and tunes for all to enjoy. Was a bit average. The talent was first class but not for everybody.
All crew were excellent.
Port of Bindalu was not what ...
We have sailed with Azamara Club Cruises six times now and love both the Azamara Journey and the Azamara Quest.
The ships are small and intimate and the itineraries and crew are incredible. With such small ships (700 passengers each), you get really up-close and personal with the upper-level staff who are highly visible and friendly.
The reason I did not give this ship a five-star rating is ...
