We were on several previous Azamara cruises, and this was our first time on the Onward. However, we think we were on this ship before, when it was part of Princess. We thought that an Azamara cruise was an ideal way to see both New Zealand and Australia.

Back to Azamaea after a few years gap. We were concerned by the reviews on CC for the Journey before we boarded. Totally unfounded, how people could write such untruths is not fair.
It was a terrific trip. Good value with basic bar package included.

We had a wonderful time on the Quest and enjoyed the size of ship as have traveled on the Oceania identical ships. The choice of food and quality were generally excellent though a few meals were cold on delivery.
The dining room staff were also excellent most of the times but a few nights the waiting staff were very slow and mucked up the orders.

This was our 4th Azamara cruise and our third on the Journey. In the past, we liked Azamara because of the small size of the boat, food and service. With 690 passengers, you never feel like you're being herded around. You will get to know a lot of our fellow passengers. Most, like us, are in their 60s and 70s and seasoned travelers.

We are experienced cruisers and have tried a number of different cruise lines over many years. Overall, we enjoyed this cruise despite the disappointment of missing Raratonga due to the poor weather and conditions too dangerous to permit safe tendering. Chose this cruise due to an interest in Komoda Island and it was our first adventure with Azamara. Booking and document process was smooth and efficient and also the boarding at Cairns. We travelled last year with Azamara and greatly enjoyed the smaller ship feel, comfort and convenience. This cruise, from Cairns to Singapore offered us the chance to see some things on our ‘to do’ list, especially Komodo and Borobudur. Itinerary is what counts and long port stays as well as Quest being a ship we sailed on previously. We love overnights in port so we have longer time in port. We use our ship as a hotel.
