My fiance and I choose cruises based on the quality of the cruise line and the itinerary. This is the second time I have sailed on the Azamara Quest, and I would describe it as a country club yacht sort of ship. It does not feel as glitzy as the usual cruise ship, but it is well done in decor and service.
We quite enjoyed the food in the MDR, but the buffet had poor quality. We had a hard time ...
I have not been on Azamara in about 10 years for no reason other than much of my travel has not been on cruise ships but rather to interior destinations. Much has remained the same. The same excellent and caring service, the great itineraries which are port intensive, well-maintained ship (our suite was spotless and very up to date) and the food is excellent.
But my same complaints persist. ...
AZAMARA QUEST Sept 2022
Club continent suite. There were approx 520 guests on board (max capacity 690)
Greece dropped the need to have a negative covid test the day we boarded!.
The first thing our butler said was "there were only a few Covid cases in the previous week". Then mid way the captain announced 4 cases in isolation, but the rumour was that there were up to 13 positive . ...
This cruise could have been a disappointment. For that matter, this Greece-Turkey cruise could have been a dud. Instead the trip turned out to be our second thoroughly satisfying vacation on an Azamara ship this year.
When we first booked the Black Sea cruise last year, we were really looking forward to finally going to Istanbul and seeing a different part of the world. Then the geopolitical ...
After reading on the Azamara board that.. "the reviews section seems to get a lot of 'one and done's – and that group of posters is always more negative than those who have more experience (with a cruise line, and with cruising in general)" .. I figured I would post my two cents as a multi time Azamara guest and long time cruiser (Celebrity, Azamara and SeaDream) and a "Destination Expert" on ...
We were on the Quest in early 2019, love it and wanted to go again but COVID-19 hit.
We chose this "new" ship for its itinerary and Azamara reputation, oh boy!!! we were in big disappointment from the start.
Three (3) hours delayed at the embarking terminal after 26 hours flight from the left coast, we just need to check in our cabin and rest.
We were very disappointed in the condition ...
I recently had the pleasure of embarking on an extraordinary voyage aboard the Azamara Journey cruise ship, and I am thrilled to share my remarkable journey. From the moment I stepped on board until the end of the trip, every aspect of this cruise exceeded my expectations, leaving me with unforgettable memories.
First and foremost, the Azamara Journey emanates an atmosphere of grace and ...
Apparently the first couple of cruises were pretty rocky according to reviews (and the Captain's public comments) but by our sailing the problems seemed to have been ironed out. Our wheelchair cabin was clean and newly-furnished including a well-designed shower. Service as usual was friendly, attentive and responsive. Food in both main dining room and specialty venues left nothing to complain ...
We were a little hesitant about getting aboard a cruise ship again. The crew and staff of Azamara were excellent, we very quickly realised that we were safer on this ship than being at home. The testing at embarkation was swift and very well organised and we were soon given the clearance to board the ship. A small group of us were shown the emergency drill, then onward to our cabin. The ...
Having had many cruises on Azamara, most great a few not 100% we planned our return to the high seas post lockdown to be on Azamara. We went with varying expectations - could it be as good as before, might it be less good or could we strike lucky? After all not only had we been seeing the Azamara vessels laid up every time we shopped in a Glasgow shopping centre and worried about them, the ...
