We went on Holly Lands cruise Athens -> Istanbul, with Israel, Turkey and Greece ports.
Azamara managed to completely ruin Israel, Phahos Greece) and Kas (Turkey) because all 3 days in Israel were a holiday and Shabbat: Thursday through Saturday.

Just a few words to let you know that Azamara is still a great choice for cruise ship aficcionados.
Embarkation and disembarkation went smooth. Journey is a medium size ship elegant and quiet like I like. No annoying music around the pool like other more popular cruise ships.

The purpose of this seven night cruise, our tenth on Azamara, was for some relaxation. It was a port intensive cruise with only one sea day. Only one port was new to us (Patmos). An upsell offer pre cruise allowed us to splurge and enjoy a beautiful large room at the back of the ship.

This was our first Azamara cruise. Wanted to see if we liked the small ship experience as we tend to favour Celebrity's Solstice class ships. There are pluses and minuses. Our second Azamara cruise, and only our third cruise in total - so not old hands at this yet. We wanted warm weather (our first cruise in October was not blessed with such!), and boy was it it warm... hot actually... but it was July in the eastern Med. And the Journey was a lovely haven to return to after a hot day at port - great air conditioning ensuring comfortable nights.
