What a fabulous trip! Ship and crew were great. I was disappointed that the top deck was closed for so long as I was planning/hoping to spend most of my time up there. The Avalon Visionary is much nicer than other ships to which we had access due to the double and sometimes triple docking at ports along the way. The clean, Scandinavian aesthetics most evident in the salon were reminiscent of a large living room compared to the overly decorated, glam interiors of the other ships.

The ship was unbearably noisy in the dining room and the large lounge. So much so that a conversation could not be had. And yes the Captain knows this and agrees something needs to done to rectify the problem.
Cabin was great, love the French doors.

We took the cruise-only portion of the Paris to Prague cruise. We spent several days on our own in Paris, then took the TGV to Luxembourg City and then the public bus to Remich that dropped us off within 100 ft of the ship (the bus fare was $2 - a bargin!). The hotel manager met us at the bottom of the gangway and took care of our bags.

The hotel in Prague pre-cruise was excellent. The Intercontinental hotel is definitely 5 stars.
