We chose this cruise because we wanted to do a river cruise and to see France up close and personal. We went with Avalon because they are very highly rated and had the perfect itinerary at very attractive fares.

On the Rhone and the Saone in France. No big noisy cities, just quaint towns and villages, interesting experiences, and pastoral views. Our friends that are wine connoisseurs wanted to tour region. We wanted to see Monaco but this trip did not end up there as the brochure stated when we booked.
