"Saint Maarten remains one of my favourite resorts with its long beach of white sand offering plenty of space even when sharing it with four other cruise ships.P&O rewards loyalty and I was one of 250 Ligurians on board who were invited to lunch at a very select beachside restaurant in Barbados...."Read More

1-7 of 7 Eastern Caribbean Aurora Eastern Caribbean Cruise Reviews
It was when Lorena, Sous Chef in the Horizon self-service restaurant, asked me on the first morning what sort of bread I preferred for my breakfast toast that I had an inkling that Aurora was going to deliver something special. The 65-night Grand Tour to the USA and Caribbean certainly did that, starting each day with seeded bread for my toast, baked by Lorena and cheerfully delivered to my table ...
Like most of the passenger's aboard, we were doing this cruise to get away form the winter weather. This turned out to be a very lucky choice! From beginning to end we had wall to wall sunshine and calm seas with only a couple of bumpy days leaving and returning to UK home waters. We did have a bit of rain in Tobago and Antigua but it was brief and of the 'liquid sunshine' variety. We've never ...
Leaving and returning to Southampton with some new Islands in the itinerary were the main reason we chose Aurora R803. We know P&O well but not this ship, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything is close to hand with a good choice of bars and restaurants. The crew were friendly and efficient and the food in all restaurants excellent be it Buffet , MDR or the three speciality ( extra cover charges ...
25 days Southampton to Caribbean and back
Embarkation worked well came from home on Eavesway Travel on the ship inside 1/2 hour of arriving.
Aurora is one of the older style ships and suits us looking a little worn here and there but nothing major and doesn't detract from her.
Cabin C190 balcony plenty big enough for the 2 of us clean and bright, plenty of closet/drawer space. Be aware ...
We were on Aurora's Grand Voyage in 2015 when we went round South America to Australia and back. The bits we missed on that trip we enjoyed doing on this one. Captain Pembridge who joined in Rio from his usual ship Britannia is obviously a guy on the top of his game. We travelled with him on Aurora back in 2009 and were impressed then. When he joined we were confident that we’d have a good cruise. ...
We travelled down from Lancashire the day before sailing and stayed in the Holiday Inn at Eastleigh. This was a comfortable hotel and a relaxing start to the cruise.
Boarding was stress free as we had priority boarding and we were on ship before noon and enjoying the complimentary champagne and lunch in Carmens. We had our hands squirted with gel 5 times before we actually got into ...
AURORA CHRISTMAS 2010 CRUISE - A COMEDY OF ERRORS
Let me start by saying that despite the "Comedy of Errors", overall the cruise was very enjoyable and being able to travel to the Caribbean and back from Southampton is very relaxing - no airports - no long flights and no jet lag.
There were however many areas where P&O need to improve.
SOUTHAMPTON
Checking in at Southampton was ...
