Embarking on our first-ever cruise with Virgin Voyages aboard the Resilient Lady, my expectations were high, but what I experienced exceeded even those lofty standards. Let me start by saying, "WOW!" Virgin Voyages has set a new benchmark for cruising, and I can't help but sing its praises. 1. Email Communication: From the moment we booked our cruise, Virgin Voyages impressed us with timely and ...

Extremely disappointed!

The hype about this ship led us to believe that we had chosen the perfect cruise. We were extremely disappointed in everything - cabin, food, and entertainment, the App. The best things were the pizza bar and ice creamery. The cabin was tiny with cheap IKEA looking furniture. The RH side of the bed, had a large drawer (part of the sofa reconfiguration) but it made it a challenge getting out ...

I had great expectations before cruising with virgin resilient lady. now i would never choose to cruise with virgin again. The absolutely "not user friendly"app that had to be used to make reservations at every restaurant for meals was a nightmare. i couldn't change my booking if i needed to add another person without losing the time i had booked i.e. If i booked for 6:30pm for 4 people and ...

Basically I booked this cruise just to test the model. We wanted to experience the hype , we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were wonderful, very attentive, professional, and courteous. Restaurants fabulous, This would have been a near 5 star review. I never give them the are not attainable, but this cruise was close. The ship is almost silent even when manoeuvring, a ...

A "Rockstar" Experience

My wife and I went on our belated honeymoon to New Zealand in January this year and decided we would cruise with Virgin Voyages for the first time. A trip from Auckland to Melbourne – whilst the price is comparable with other lines for the cabin style we had chosen, that is probably where the nice things I have to say end. Genuinely, a horrendous customer experience – I never write reviews like ...

This cruise was exceptional. From start to finish could not fault anything. Being a relatively new ship, it was in prime condition. Prepare to pile on the kilos because the food is amazing. You have many different restaurants to choose from, all were excellent. Tip, book into restaurants well before your cruise to guarantee a reservation. You can ‘walk in ‘ too but if the ship is full you ...

First Virgin cruise and I gotta say it exceeded my expectations based on past cruises I’ve done with Royal, Disney, etc. The quality of the food and the service was excellent. Love the unique product they offer in terms of different restaurants onboard. I’ll never go back to a set dinner time and buffets. Being adult only was incredible. Allowed for a relaxed and fun environment. Their app was ...

Excellent Way to Experience New Zealand and Australia

This is our fifth NCL cruise. We keep coming back because the relaxed experience on the ship and flexible dining suit us. The itinerary from Auckland, New Zealand to Syndey, Australia was what drew us to this cruise. The ship only had 1,600 passengers (double occupancy is 2,050), so the Garden Cafe and Stardust Theater were rarely busy/filled. Note, though it was school holidays here, because ...

We choose the cruise because it was affordable , looked good, and going to part of the pacific I had heard of as being great to visit. Wife and I found the cabins just as we imagined. Small but had all we needed. Our door opened out onto a small balcony which gave lots of fresh air and a great view at sea. The food is really good. The pantry has plenty of variety. They change every day. You ...

Pacific Island Hopper without much Island hopping

We chose this cruise as it left from and returned to Auckland. So no need to fly. We wanted to show our girls a taste of the islands. Normally cruise Princess. But this cruise fitted in with school holidays and our not wanting to fly anywhere. Had a pretty good time despite the weather not being the greatest. As a result we missed the 2 tender ports due to weather and also having to ...
