We chose this cruise to celebrate with a friend who was turning 70. Having this celebration and Christmas on board was a highlight.
The boat was decorated throughout with Christmas decorations, making for a pretty sight.
Whever you dined the food was exceptional along with the staff that worked continuously throughout.
Talking about the staff - we made conversation with quite a few to ...
This is only the sixth cruise of my lifetime (on five different lines) and it was easily the best of the lot - to say nothing of the tremendous value it represented versus Regent et al. Even if all six cruises had identical prices, this cruise would have earned first place by a wide margin.
The ship, itself, is so new and well-maintained that it spoiled us with its finishes and amenities. ...
Overall the cruise was ok, it was a Christmas holiday cruise. The service was poor, the food was of a poor quality with the same items repeated every few days. The specialty French Restaurant La Met was amazing, the steakhouse, Crown Grill was extremely disappointing! I would have to say that overall the entertainment was limited and quite lame - unless you like to dance in the Piazza or attend ...
So I have been on many cruises in the past. Princess cruises was my first cruise ever in fact. I had nothing to compare it to at the time so I loved that cruise. My kids were very young so I had no real time for entertainment then. I have cruises on carnival, royal Caribbean and Norwegian and all of those are fun. Princess is the most boring cruise I have ever been on. There was nothing going on ...
This was our first Princess cruise. We chose it because we are booked for the 2019 World Cruise on Sea Princess, and this was a kind of "dry run" -- if one can have a "dry" run at sea! We are pleased we did it, as we learned a lot.
We joined the Cruise Critic message board for this cruise, as well as the World one, and are so pleased that we did. At the meet and greet, it was great to fit ...
This cruise was our 'move-over' cruise from 2016, so we were upgraded to a Club Class Mini Suite. We combined this with the New Year cruise so had 25 days aboard the Majestic!
We have been on many New Zealand Australia cruises, so for us the ship was the destination. We also had the pleasure of cruising with friends we met on the Diamond in 2010, plus introduce another friend to the pleasure ...
Found ship hard to move around, to many pinch points for the number of people moving through, can't walk around ship on any level. Dining Service was slow and unfinished. Entertainment was all at once, seems to stop everyone doing everything as not nearly enough space for everyone.Cabin was suitable for our needs, Hollywood area was good, but with no open air smelt of chlorine which upset my nasal ...
We chose the cruise for the destination as we wanted to be in Sydney for the New Year Celebration and the cruise ended on December 30th.
I was very disappointed in the Lotus Spa on this ship. I booked a 90 minute massage and upon my arrival was shown to the co-ed “relaxing” area. This was not a spa atmosphere - more like a doctor’s office waiting room. No nice bathrooms to relax in, not even ...
I was very dissapointed in our cabin. Firstly theres no excuse for filth. My sheer nylon curtains were absolutely filthy and asked them to be removed and cleaned. Secondly we couldn't and i mean couldn't open the door to the balcony, so much so they had to take it off in Bay of Islands and put new rollers on. Thirdly the carpet in front of the couch was soaked from the bathroom leaking. That ...
Have always wanted to visit Australia & New Zealand even though a very long plane trip. Decided to do it while we could and it did not disappoint.
Our first disappointment was upon arrival on the ship to find the only excursion we booked had been cancelled. We found the excursions to be terribly expensive for what you get which is mostly more time on a bus than seeing the actual site.
The ...
