We a seasoned cruisers haven traveled on many different cruise lines many of which are associated with Princess Cruises. Having made many enjoyable trips prior on other well known cruise lines we decided to try Princess cruises. My wife and i were excited to be joining friends on board for an end of year cruise some of whom have had many enjoyable trip with Princess lines. As always we ...

I was on a 12 night cruise from New Zealand via Tasmania finishing up at Sydney Australia. The cruise was to include New Zealand North Island, New Zealand South Island, Tasmania, Melbourne and Sydney Australia. Embarkation in Auckland was bad. Their boarding ramp broke and this added a few hours to the ordeal. Not a great start. The room (see below for cabin description) was very poor, ...

Repositioning cruises are a wonderful way to avoid tedious air travel. Noordam had a great itinerary and the timing was perfect. Noordam was scheduled for a refit in 2015 but it still hasn't happened and its looking a bit tired. The soft furnishings are worn in the staterooms and some public areas. Although the colors in the bathroom are dismal, the size of the bathroom is good with a lovely ...

My wife and I treated ourselves to a 10-day around NZ cruise aboard “Pacific Pearl”, leaving Auckland on Feb 28th. It was the first (and last!) cruise for us – I doubt we will ever entertain another. On arrival for embarkation, we had to queue in the hot sun for about 30mins, following which we entered what can only be described as an enormous old cattle shed. Prior to entry we were obliged to ...

Well, where to start with this review.  I will put things in that I have noticed as I don't want go on and on. This was our 14th cruise since our first on the Pacific Star in 2008. 12 with P&O, 1 with Princess and 1 with RCI. Check-in was good, fast and friendly, getting on board was an easy process and all ok as it can be with 4 kids. No restaurant lunch on boarding day anymore. Disappointing ...

We'd heard a lot of good things about P&O (including here), and were looking forward to our first cruise with them. While not BAD, it certainly didn't live up to it's reputation. Food was mediocre at best, service inconsistent, entertainment was a mixed bag with some pretty good stuff and some amateur hour quality, special interest lectures were consistently poor except for those given by the ...

We would like to share our greatest disappointment about cruising with Holland America with Maasdam from New Zealand to San Diego, on the 1st of February, 2018 Our holiday turned out into a disaster due to problems with accommodation on board. We have booked two cabins - a suite and an ocean view cabin. Throughout the whole cruise we had a lot of issues with our suite resulting in our ...
