Great itinerary but lack of on board activities, minimal cruise staff after cutbacks, and lack of live musical entertainment. Many of the activities in the program were actually revenue advertisements such as art auctions and spa promotions. We chose this cruise primarily for the itinerary - 9 ports in 14 days in both New Zealand and Southeast Australia. The ship is in pretty good shape for its age, but a little gaudy for our taste. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise it was perfect for our family or two older and two younger kids, there was something for everyone.
The people is what made the cruise, the staff were amazing, our room steward marvin was so awesome, we felt like we were leaving behind a friend.

Good value overall, though looking back we wish we had done more research and looked at other ships and taken closer attention to the Ports.

Our cruise on the pacific pearl 30th December 2010 had finally arrived.
