What sold us about the cruise are the destination. The Viking Orion is beautiful with plenty public sitting and relaxing area beautifully Scandinavian furnishings. The cruise provided the opportunity to see the Parthenon, the Holy Land, the pyramids, the Temple at Karnak and the ruins at Petra as well as meet the wonderful people who now live in and around these ancient places.
