Cruised the Eastern Med, Athens to Athens 14 days September
Fourth time over 6 years on the Encore.
Positives
The crew are as good as ever, service excellent everywhere.
Great itinerary with some interesting small ports.
The ship rides well and is well designed.
The main restaurant and the Colonnade are excellent for dinner.
Easy ship to relax on.
Really good bar ...
I am wrapping up a 14 night sailing from Athens to Athens onboard the Seabourn Encore. I have always been a fan of Seabourn and feel comfortable on board. Cruising on Seabourn as a return guest is truly like "coming home". The best asset that Seabourn has is their staff. This sailing was no exception. Under the direction of Hotel Director Kevin Huxham guests enjoy a level of service ...
We were on 14 day Treasures of Adrian cruise on Seabourn Encore on July. This was our first cruise on “ultra luxus” ship. Previous cruises have been lately on MSC Yacht Club, Celebrity Retreat, Mein Shiff X-lounge or NCL Haven. Therefore, we are comparing Seabourn experience to those more than a normal main cruise line experience.
Unfortunately, we found no ultra luxus on Seabourn, hardly even ...
This cruise was excellent in all aspects. It is not often that you can say that!!!
Everything from embarkation, all veranda suites, on-board service, restaurant and entertainment was five-star. This, our first cruise with Seabourn, was a seven-day cruise from Piraeus to Istanbul. One of the benefits of a smaller ship, with fewer than 600 passengers, is that there are no separate restaurant ...
We were really looking forward to our 14-day cruise - Athens - Istanbul - Athens - as we had loved all our previous voyages with Seabourn. However, while certain features remained distinctively Seabourn, some things had definitely changed.
On the positive side our cabin was, as always, very good and our room service staff friendly and helpful. The public areas of the ship were ...
We have about a dozen cruises under our belts split roughly evenly between Seabourn, Silversea and Crystal. Our last cruise was Quest in 2019. Obviously things have changed a bit in the past 3 years and to be clear do recognise that all hospitality venues have had serious challenges whether land or sea based. I did a live blog which can amplify issues so am trying here to take a step back. It is ...
This was our first cruise on Seabourn and it was excellent. A week from Athens to Athens with a port of call each day in the Greek Isles and Turkey.
The Encore is immaculately maintained and clean.
We had excellent service from very friendly staff. Excellent food in the The Restaurant and The Thomas Keller Grill. The entertainment was excellent. Seabourn put on an evening concert in the ...
First time Seabourn cruisers. Went with another couple of best friends. The Seabourn experience for us was a splurge and was a wonderful experience. From the roomy cabins to the excellent food. We loved the smaller ship size (500) passengers and the ease of walking to various places on the ship instead of relying on elevators.
Embarkation was a little weird. They gave you numbers and were told ...
It was so nice to be back on board a ship and sailing once more. The Encore was nearly spotless, so the 2 year Covid lay up allowed for maintenance and it showed with a sparkling appearance. With fewer than 250 guests both weeks and more than 400 crew, shall we say we were pampered like never before? The dining venues were competing for our patronage! And the food was excellent and varied in all ...
Currently on Seabourn Ovation and covid outbreak. My husband - double jabbed -pcr and lat flow negative before boarding is positive - along with many others. I’m confined to my cabin.
First thing we were told to do was we did not need masks despite the ship having previously visited Mykonos and there reportedly being at least one case of covid on board. Funnily enough the Captain has a new ...
