Sirena was a cozy and comfortable home during an amazing journey

Background information: We are veteran cruisers with many years of cruising in different parts of the world on different cruise lines (includes Oceania, Disney, RCI, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, Cunard). This was our 30th cruise, our longest cruise to date, our eighth on Oceania and our first on Sirena. I have done several other cruise reviews on Cruise Critic. This cruise was ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Sirena

Oceania is a fantastic cruise line, up there with the best. The crew were second to none and the food is of course exemplary. We never had a problem finding sun loungers (despite many shaded sunloungers being reserved every day) and there were many day beds available at all times too. The show lounge is called the Sirena lounge and it is more akin to a bar/lounge rather than the more typical ...

Beware of Cruising the Eastern Mediterranean on Sirena with Oceania

Having cruised once before with Oceania, we were thrilled to cruise with them again. We chose the three day paid pre-cruise on land in Athens including tours, hotels, and food to begin with. The cruise entitled Cradle of History, would start on the third day on the renovated Sirena ship in port in Athens. This cruise included ports in Greece, Italy, Israel, and Cairo.. After arriving in the ...

Be aware of which ship you choose on Oceania.

This is my 4th time with Oceania in 4 years. Booked Sirena because of the supposedly upgrade to be completed by May 2016. Have previously cruised with Regatta, Insignia and Nautica. Very disappointed with the overall look of Sirena. No where near as classy as other ships. we had an A1 class cabin. Bathrooms appear smaller than had before. No renovations to bathrooms, cannot get cold water in ...

The Sirena is a mid-sized ship so I was delighted not to see so many people in line during check in. It was smooth and easy. We were extremely disappointed when at check-in they told us that our stop in Egypt was cancelled and provided no explanation for this decision only saying it was foe security reasons. Many of the people booked this trip because we were stopping in Egypt for two days and ...

Many good points. Liked martini bar and free water and soft drinks approach, which are readily available. Room 4024 outside cabin was great. Very quiet opposite medical bay so also at a stable point of the ship. Very smooth sailing for small ship. Food very good. Areas for improvement are, shower curtain, although taking a couple of pegs or deck chair clips stops it wrapping round you. Very ...

Second sailing on "O" cruises first on the Marina , previously cruised only Regent SSC (Gold Society Members). Our first cruise was first class - beautiful ship - good size veranda cabins - attentive staff in all area of this ship, excellent food and choice of restaurants. We decided to cruise "O" again and after reading the marketing blurb that the Sirena was the ship and itinerary for ...

We chose this cruise mainly because of the itinerary, but also because we had heard good things about the Oceania line. Let me preface this review by saying it was the most expensive cruise we had ever booked! We looked forward to this cruise for months. But sadly we have felt entirely screwed from the moment we arrived on board. The ship is quite small compared to others we have been on. The ...

Nice Ship, Fantastic Dining, Not for the under 70 cruiser

We booked this cruise based on the itinerary and reviews of amazing dining and attention to detail. The ship was very nice. The dining rooms and public areas were beautiful. The staff was excellent, and service was always prompt. Our inside stateroom is similar to that of any other ship on the market. The bathroom was tiny, cramped, and skipped during renovation. The room itself was sufficient for ...

We want to do it again

We chose this cruise because we wanted to go in a less crowded ship. Before, we've sailed in larger ships of about 2500 passengers. We really enjoyed less people aboard, more tranquility. Athens is really a very interesting place to visit, Achropolis is incredible and its musueum. The embarkation and disembarkation process went really smoothly. Is a very nice refurbished ship, with a nice ...
