We always wanted to make a trip to Europe to visit all the beautiful countries we’ve only heard about. This was a lifetime trip for us and we heard such good things about Viking from friends and coworkers. We choose Viking because they were able to handle every aspect of the trip from point A to Z. Since we never traveled this far to countries outside of the US we felt safe in allowing Viking plan ...
Had the opportunity to cruise with Viking for the first time recently. We've done 21 cruises with most of the major players out there, and a few of the premium lines.
Positives:
- Very clean cabins with 2X day housekeeping
- No cruisers under 18 years of age
- Perfect sized ship
- No upsell once on board
- Embarkation / Disembarkation very easy
- Decent selection of Video On ...
Viking is an exceptional cruise line in so many ways. The ship was immaculate - rooms are cleaned daily and the turn-down service is nice. the friendly staff get to know your names. The port talks were interesting and well-Dione, and the educational lectures enriched the journey. The excursion options are broad — there are many to choose from, and always one is included in the price of the cruise. ...
This was a wonderful trip although I would hesitate to go back during the Christmas/Ephiphany holiday as we lost two stops along the way due to the holiday. Having said that, Viking made it very nice to celebrate on the ship. We had a nice Christmas, a fun New Year’s Eve and an amazing spread on New Year’s Day.
I would not take any other cruise line again after sailing with Viking. This was ...
We wanted to focus on antiquities from Athens through Florence. We continued on through Barcelona to get a taste of southern France, in particular.
Viking provided the perfect setting on its beautiful ship and with its exceptional staff. All details of our daily excursions were taken care of, and returning each afternoon for tea time, spa relaxation, excellent dining options and fun nightly ...
Husband and I joined his parents for the first Viking Cruise (for all 4 of us). We sailed on the Mediterranean Antiquities journey and had a wonderful time. We picked early morning “upgraded” (paid) excursions with one exception (Monte Carlo, included tour), and our guides hit it out of the park 9/10 trips. The service on Viking is excellent and unobtrusive, and the ship decor and comfort level ...
A friend of mine booked this cruise and asked me if I wanted to go. It was a bit spur of the moment but I don't regret my decision one bit.
From the moment we boarded the ship, we were greeted with smiles and friendly, helpful staff. We nicknamed Paul (our stateroom steward) our Genie because of his ability to anticipate our needs. We quickly "made friends" with the wonderful people of the ...
We had heard a lot about Viking cruises from friends but had never been on one until this cruise (had cruised with other companies many times). The booking process was a little rocky because I received an email offer the day after I booked, and Viking was originally unwilling to honor the offer. After some discussion, they did so.
We had Viking book our air and this went smoothly except we had ...
This is our first trip with Viking and we enjoyed the trip very much! We definitely will consider Viking again for future trips! The only sad part was that we could not visit Israel. Overall, Viking is very organized on the logistics for customers and the entire trip. The staffs (including the waiters/waitress) who served the food as well as the customers are very attentive, polite and friendly. ...
The wonderful crew, fun excursions and for the most part good food could not make up for the most uncomfortable cabin I have ever experienced. I had been on this ship before but in an ADA cabin for someone with a motorized wheelchair. On this cruise I was in a regular balcony cabin. We had not gotten an ADA cabin but told Norwegian that we needed to be near the elevator because my cabin ...
