Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

This was our first cruise, an 11 night Eastern Mediterranean itinerary, & we booked it for a great price without knowing too much about the industry at first. Reading other reviews of the Epic on this site we were slightly worried, but we needn't have been - the ship is fantastic, & we couldn't have asked for better. Looking at the detail of others' criticisms it seems many of the issues being ...

The Norweigian Epic: MOST uncomfortable and oddly configured balcony cabin ever.

The wonderful crew, fun excursions and for the most part good food could not make up for the most uncomfortable cabin I have ever experienced. I had been on this ship before but in an ADA cabin for someone with a motorized wheelchair. On this cruise I was in a regular balcony cabin. We had not gotten an ADA cabin but told Norwegian that we needed to be near the elevator because my cabin ...

Pros: Loved the ports - beware though tendering at Zakynthos; unless you had a ship tour booked you could wait 3 hours plus to get off (we gave up) But the ships tours WERE very good and would recommend. I had the “key” package and loved the little perks (great WiFi!) Food - excellent food in MDR and service (buffet not so good - food often tepid and dining area itself is dismal ...

Flew to Athens, Greece. Spent 3 nights sight seeing. Boarded the ship. Embarkment was easy and quick. Had a great lunch in the Windjammer buffet. Food choices were plentiful and delicious. Cabins were ready at 1pm. Luggage arrived between 2-4pm. We were in an outside cabin with a large window. Cabin was very comfortable and steward ( Henrik) was friendly and efficient. Main dining room ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We returned yesterday from this cruise on which we experienced both positive and negative issues. Positives - amazing crew, always smiling and helpful, and working so hard. Given demands and capacity, service and the food was great - varied and fresh in Garden Café, main dining rooms and especially good in Le Bistro. Cabin was kept very clean and shower room bigger than on some competing ...

The ship was great, the passengers were not!

A group of six of us traveled to Athens for a 7 day cruise to Israel, Cyprus, Turkey other ports in Greece, and found the Norwegian Jade to be in terrific shape. It clearly showed that great care had been taken in retrofitting in 2022, and it was a nice change from other ships we have been on in years past. Four passengers in our group stayed in one of the penthouse suites, and I cannot ...

Sadly, it is the last day of our cruise. I am happily sitting in the Constellation at deck 11 forward tip of the ship lounge with a cup of coffee, enjoying the view of Hydra. I love this lounge. It is huge, 3/4s around floor to seating windows, air conditioned and quiet most of day time. First, I will comment on a couple of board type topics. We had chocolates on our pillows, our room was ...

I chose this cruise because I have heard great things about it in the past and wanted to give it a try. I was blown away and I will never be able to sail a normal cruise ship again! The rooms are huge, the staff is on top of their game and super friendly. The ship design and finishings are top-notch. I enjoyed the entertainment on board, from Broadway including Rent to the Elton John tribute ...

Shakedown Cruise of the "new" Symphony

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Crystal Symphony

We wanted to try a shorter Crystal cruise in anticipation of a planned 2024 partial world cruise and were generally quite satisfied with the rebirth of our favorite cruise line. Sure, there were some shortcomings that one ought to expect on a shakedown cruise--the pool wasn't finished until the third day, TV was unworkable, water was turned off for one five-hour announced period, etc. However, ...

I don’t know what ship the last man reported but my experience on Crystal Symphony was terrible( may be he was a travel agent and had a subsidised journey Anyway to keep it short and sweet the ship is not fit for purpose yet.. it has had a refurbishment of cabins but it is an old ship that vibrates terribly.. I will just list the problems I had for the 8 day cruise My cabin vibrated even ...
