Wonderful Adventure on World Navigator

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on World Navigator

My wife and I have usually traveled around the world with bikes or just on our own and I always said I would never do a cruise. When I saw that the Atlas World Navigator took fewer than 200 customers on a cruise, we decided to try it. I had wanted to go to Ephesus for a long time and decided to try the Atlas Greece/Turkey ten-day cruise. The Atlas cruise definitely exceeded my ...

Having experienced a yacht style cruise for the first time I felt compelled to post my impressions. We have cruised on ships from 800 passengers to 2600(only 1x) and have spent almost 1 1/2 years in cruising since 1984. Just returned from three cruises on Atlas Ocean Voyages, World Navigator. What a wonderful way to travel. The intimate cruise experience understates our impressions of ...

Excellent Cruise on Encore

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Seabourn Encore

This cruise was excellent in all aspects. It is not often that you can say that!!! Everything from embarkation, all veranda suites, on-board service, restaurant and entertainment was five-star. This, our first cruise with Seabourn, was a seven-day cruise from Piraeus to Istanbul. One of the benefits of a smaller ship, with fewer than 600 passengers, is that there are no separate restaurant ...

My husband and I always wanted to visit Greece and Israel and what a perfect way to see them. Pros-hospitality was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Food was delish especially Cagney Steak House and Jasmine Garden Asian Restaurant. Night life Entertainment was very good from listening to Rami to Nightlife Duos…Fantabulous!!! Drinks were great especially when they were made by James over at the ...

This was our first Celebrity cruise and was chosen to accommodate other companions’ time issues and by virtue of an interesting itinerary. First some good things: Main dining dinners were all good and service there was good. Vast majority of staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our party included one six-year-old and the ship had a great “camp at sea” program run by an exceptional crew ...

We enjoyed this as a family but helped to have adjoining room for two teens. We had inside state rooms but next time would choose a balcony for after excursion. Not all ports all day so that was a bummer and limited on what you can do at port. Space inside cabin ok but small. Kids thought pool too small for amount of people. Did not use pool in solarium because way too hot overall. Gym ok ...

Disappointing

We chose this cruise as it was a smaller ship. We found it much more intimate, no queues and everybody was so friendly. The ship holds 700 passengers but there were only 400 on board. The negatives are the swimming pool was small which if the ship had full capacity this could be a problem. Even though the interior of the ship had been re-furnished they had not done the staterooms. The ...

The good points: 1 Comfortable bed. 2 Most staff were friendly and helpful. 3 Ship docked on time at all ports of call. 4 We liked Cafe al Bacio very much. The not good points 1 The internet was constantly intermittent - it kept disconnecting. 2 Except for the solo guitarist and the strings duo the entertainment was not what we wanted. The so-called 'resident DJ' played ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the reputation of Celebrity. We arrived in Athens two days early, which was fortunate because our luggage didn’t show up for two days. Boarding was easy and efficient. We had arrived early at the port because that was when we were dropped off, but that did not present a problem. We left our bags (inside stateroom) and met our room steward, Roselle. ...

Great cruise, but..

We chose this cruise, knowing Celebrity from previous cruises and because of the itinerary . It was not Celebrity at its best, but close behind. Highlights were Kusadasi (Efesos) and Hydra. Low were Santorini. You have one low capacity cablecar to get up /down to/from the town. With 3 cruise ships at the same time it resulted in long waiting times, up to 3 hours. The ship could do with a ...
