We as a family wanted to do a Mediterranean trip. This particular cruise plan met most of our needs.
The Cruise ship was excellent, the wait staff was great. The room steward did an excellent job. The meal offerings could have been little more variety on different days specifically for vegetarian family members.
The entertainment shows were good mix. The comedy show needed little more oomph. ...
12 ports of call, a lot to see and do ashore.Shore excursions are expensive. Staff are very helpful and courteous. D J played latin music in Spanish or Italian all day, most annoying as most of the guests are from Western countries. Rock and Roll, country, ballads. more appropiate to the guests. Food was good. entertainment was largely good. Show dancers excellent. Large ship but easy to move ...
We have had the pleasure of cruising the med on several occasions, we booked this thinking it was a 14 day cruise with the usual everyone off and on at the beginning and the end (as was our previous experiences). This wasn't the case, this particular itinerary is really a 7 day cruise and you can do 1,2 or 3 segments (7,14 or 21 days). This works out well for embarkation and disembarkation as its ...
Just came back from a fabulous 14-day med cruise from Athens to Gibraltar and back to Rome.
- Ship: 4 STARS. The ship was just refurbished and was in tip top shape. It's a very pretty ship but is not one of the newest, 5,000 passenger "mega" ships with roller coasters and 18-hole golf courses.
- Rooms: 4 STARS. Rooms are larger than other ships and well laid out though the interiors feel ...
We did the Eastern med cruise September 2012, on the Crown Princess, one of the ports I wanted to visit was Rhodes, but because of operational problems we could not dock, so I saw the Eastern Med cruise again for 19th September that included Rhodes again And Crete that I also wanted to see, the night before we were due to dock we got a letter to day our excursion to a beach on Rhodes had been ...
Enjoyed our two week trip very much. Ports of call were fantastic cannot think of one we did not enjoy.
With a couple of exceptions we booked private tours or did each of ports of call on our own. Did several of the excursions with folks we met on Cruise Critic.
Getting on and off the ship could not have been better. Our room was ready when we boarded in Athens around 12 noon.
We ...
Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Great food, very pleasant and helpful staff.
Usual mixture of ports with some more attractive than others. However the star find was Nessebar in Bulgaria. Yards from the tender there were loads of attractive shops and restaurants. This was one of the substitute ports as replacement for the Ukraine ports.
All cruise lines should find an excuse to go ...
Overall – Very Good cruise.
• High marks for itinerary, room comfort and steward’s service, specialty restaurants. The weather was great.
• Low marks for several of the tours, dining room service, too much emphasis on shopping, slow Wi-Fi
Room (mini-suite) was very nice. Plenty of room, very nicely furnished and well equipped. The bed seemed larger than a queen and was very ...
I have sailed with princess since 1977 and I have sailed on Emerald Princess several times. My last trip was out of Athens on the 16th of May 2015 and from the embarkation it had lots of issues.
On arrival at Athens Port no one to help with luggage. The staff were actually sitting on the Trolley's smoking great impression, did not rush to help at all.
I was sent into a embark hall to wait ...
