We decided to do a short cruise on the recently refurbished Queen Victoria to see if the additions had improved things. They had. We had one of the club balcony staterooms and were able to dine in the Brittania club restaurant which allowed us to chose when we dined instead of having to chose an early or late sitting. Cunard are very much trading on their name and need to sharpen their act. We were in a stateroom and the Queens Grill so not a cheap cruise. The amount of paper which arrived in our suite every day was quite ridiculous and most of the info could have been shown on the TV. Having said that, the communication with passengers was poor. The title says it all. This was silver spoon service without trying. If you don't like formal then don;t come on board, but if you do - wow! The ship is excellent, the destinations were really good (and varied). My wife, being a vegetarian, had the most choice she has ever had on a cruise ship (or just about any restaurant anywhere).
