It started with watching the guys throwing our bags on the conveyor belt and when we received our bags the handle was broken , the bag was brand new bought for this trip now the extension handle is broken. The food was very poor especially the 2 bbqs the food was cold and all the meat so dry and tough , the corn was terrible as well we left a whole plate full of food. The entertainment was very ...

Horrible Excursions - getting to islands AFTER it was dark!

My wife and I were on a Globus tour of Greece and this 3-day cruise was included. Unfortunate thing is that neither cruise ship nor Globus told us what TIME we would arrive at each of the islands. This was a 'once in a lifetime' trip for us, as we had always wanted to see Greece and some of the islands. The wonderful windmills of Mykonos - we arrived after 7:00PM (!!!!). My first photo on ...

Disappointed by the policy for cancelled tours

Some good points but don't expect the ship to be the same standard as a more luxury cruise ship e.g. Cunard The size of the ship is good with only 9 floors and plenty of lifts which arrive quickly. Our inside room was small so only twin beds available with a small table in between. No tea and coffee in the room and room service is charged for. Some areas are tatty but we saw this ship as more of a ...

The cruise was disappointing in that we stopped on the islands for very short periods. We were very rushed and at times it felt like we were herded like cattle. The food was mediocre and the ship is very dated with extremely small cabins even after we paid for an upgrade. The cruise was not my idea of fun and relaxation but more stressful and chaotic. Never again!! The pool was extremely small ...

We chose this cruise because it was the second leg offered through American Israel tours to see Athens and some of the Greek Islands Unfortunately this ship was in touch shape. There were alot of college age kids romping around and partying which I didnt appreciate. Cabin was horrible. The ship was very outdated. Complained about the shower not draining property twice, once it completely ...

Early start of tours just killed it for us

We chose this cruise as it fit in with our schedule, and allowed us to sample many Greek islands. It was booked via a travel agent, and included several tours and a 'blue' alcohol package. The travel agent would have liked to arrange their own tours at the islands but Celestyal does not accommodate that. The ship is older but very clean and the staff works very hard to make a good experience. ...

Boarding and leaving the ship in each port was well executed. The Transat agent was on their game and extremely customer focused keeping us up to date and making tour recommendations that proved accurate. Cabin cleaning staff were friendly and did a great job. Drink service on the pool deck was wanting. Since staff did not approach me to take a drink order, I continually went to the bar to get ...

The positive report is the embarkation and debarkation were the easiest I have ever experienced. It is a small ship so not thousands of people to move. You do surrender your passport which makes me nervous, but worked out okay. My husband had to see the ship's doctor, first time ever on a cruise, and that was a good experience. The room was okay. We booked an inside cheap room ...

We read reviews before embarking on our trip so we knew to keep our expectations in check. Here is what I found to be true- It is indeed a 30 year old ship. If you are used to cruising on the newer beautiful Caribbean cruises (as I was) keep in mind this ship was not like that at all. Passport- you surrender you passport when you board. It was nerve wracking for us to do that. It made us ...

Very Disappointing; Never Again

While port destinations was fine the rest of the ship experience was just not up standard. Food was mainly all buffet with very little variety. Service at meal times was not existent, no water or coffee without contestant chasing of staff. The drinks package was a joke, the wine choice was very limited, (House wines only) and then you needed to find a waiter to take your order. At each ...
