Our very first cruise . ( we usually stay in good 4 star hotels for point of reference ) Embarkation : this was a bit odd, arriving an hour early there was nowhere to prompt us where to go . Inside the terminal we thought ...but no ..we were supposed to line up outside next to the taxi rank , but it wasnt organized yet , nor was there anything telling you where it would be .We were on the ship ...

Summary of the Celestyal Journey cruise (14 days 3-23 - 4-6-24) Despite having low expectations beforehand, the cruise fell below my expectations. As hard as it was to gather information before the cruise, once onboard it truly wasn’t much better. For someone who is a ‘planner,’ not knowing when a tour is going to leave until after 9:00 the night before just doesn’t work. The shame of it ...

After reading reviews of the Celestyal Journey's first cruise in September we were apprehensive to say the least, but hoped that, by now, the glitches were all sorted out. And they were. This is one of the best cruises we have ever undertaken. We booked this on the 29th Feb sale day for the staggeringly low price of £140.00. 5 nights, 6 days, and overnight in Istanbul. Unbelievable. Included ...

I totally love this little 1250 max roughly little ship. Great Service, great staff attitude, great value. We have done a number of big ship cattle cruises which we we really started to dislike. No queues for anything apart from the odd coffee. The entertainment was really good and well thought out for 9 days, credit to the director. We are hoping to return to Athens in October for another ...

This is our second cruise with Celestyal, and will not be our last. The staff from the Celestyal Crystal had transferred to the Celestyal Journey, and we were delighted to be remembered by many of them, which increased our cruise enjoyment. Originally a three week cruise to start with the Three Continents, which was changed to a new itinerary, due to the conflict in Gaza. For the first week, ...

We have Just got off our Celestyal Journey 7 night Idyllic Aegean cruise in Athens and have been blown away by how much we have enjoyed ourselves… we cannot wait to cruise with Celestyal again! We originally booked their 3 continents cruise because it ticked Egypt and the Pyramids off our bucket list. Having previously cruised with some of the big cruise lines (RCCL, NCL, Princess, Disney, ...

This review is primarily about our cruise sailing on the Journey, however it also describes our experience with Celestyal Cruises and sets the scene prior to sailing with them. We had not heard about Celestyal Cruises (CC) before and were enticed by a reasonably priced 14 night itinerary with great inclusions (premium drink package, gratuities and four excursions). We booked 16 months prior to ...

Just got back from a 2 week trip. Overall experience was great. Few bad points worth mentioning but nothing that would change our minds to do another trip with this company. The bad: the excursion desk doesn’t have themselves together. We got an excursion ticket they had a different title than what we paid for. Once on the bus we were told the itinerary. Half the bus was ready to riot as ...

I travel quite a bit and on average have taken 2-3 trips per year (mostly international) for the last 25 years (except for Covid years) with possibly 90% of those trips including a cruise. These cruises include river boat, barge, and ocean cruises of a variety sizes, prices, and passenger census . I can honestly say I have never experienced a cruise that was as poorly executed as this Celestyal ...

What did they spend 20+ million on??

The itinerary was excellent. Food very good. Service good exception reception staff. Very rude. I guess tired of hearing the passengers complaining. JD & his staff at the Martini Bar were great. The Pink Moon staff (Pablo, Amanda & especially Nelson & Amaury) were awesome. But so much was wrong. Not sure what they spent 20+ million on to refurbish this ship. I changed cabins 4 times because the ...
