Great staff, but ship needs an overhaul
"The main dining room had nice food, pretty standard cruise ship food. The buffet (Oceanview Dining Room) felt very much just like mass produced food without any special touches...."Read More

Beware of this boat in ship’s clothing

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

The majority of our past cruises have been with Royal Caribbean (RCI) and we have been happy with RCI but we wanted to try something different so we traded up to Celebrity and booked a cruise on Celebrity Infinity for March 2024. Not worth it. The only advantage over RCI that we could see was a larger shower. The food was in no way better than our RCI cruises in fact the Celebrity menu and buffet ...

Firstly let me say that I read over 100 reviews of Infinity before the cruise. The average score, below 3 out of 5 with many scoring it 1, made it difficult to predict how enjoyable this cruise would be. This was my first Celebrity cruise although my wife & daughter sailed on Equinox about 12 yrs ago. For us the biggest plusses on this cruise were the staff, the entertainment & the ...

Great cruise in a refurbished ship with good ports of call

Loved this cruise. Certainly helped by great weather and low price but also had very interesting ports of call of Thessaloniki (where we overnighted, and especially enjoyed), Kusadasi, Limassol, Rhodes and Heraklion. I've reviewed all of these in the relevant Ports of Call sections). Ship itself looking good after a refit, staff very cheerful and helpful, and food variable but generally good ...

We chose this cruise because the dates were right and there was 70% off the 2nd person. We originally planned our honeymoon in Maui, close to Lahaina but it was ravaged by fire so we opted to change our plans but that left us with not as many options within that time frame. I preferred to go to Italy and Montenegro but as it turned out, the ports we went to were awesome. Absolutely beautiful and ...

Ship was great, except for main dining

Sadly, it is the last day of our cruise. I am happily sitting in the Constellation at deck 11 forward tip of the ship lounge with a cup of coffee, enjoying the view of Hydra. I love this lounge. It is huge, 3/4s around floor to seating windows, air conditioned and quiet most of day time. First, I will comment on a couple of board type topics. We had chocolates on our pillows, our room was ...

We enjoyed the itinerary and cabin, but had a lot of issues on this ship compared with our last cruise, which was on Princess. A few issues - Last minute update to a shore excursion that led us to cancel it (self driving tour- would have to share a car with strangers given group size of 2 - should have been included in description) - Food in main dining room was very hit or miss. Buffett ...

Disappointment

We chose this ship because I have always traveled with Royal Caribbean but was told that Celebrity was a step up. I was aware that the ship was older but had been refurbished. Cleanliness: The sink in bathroom had to be removed after each time we used it because it was clogged and pretty gross. The shower curtain was not clean, the hallways smelled of mold and several of my companions wound up ...

Ship is older but clean and in good working order. It’s an older ship and smaller than some of the newer ones but easy to navigate. Staff is pretty good for the most part. Our room steward and our dining room staff were great. The others were OK except for the bar staff. In general the bars and bar staff are the weakest. Food is actually pretty good. We have been on more than a handful of ...

Overall, we had a nice vacation and trip on the Celebrity Infinity. This ship is definitely older and a pretty standard, mid sized cruise ship. Do not expect any special bells or whistles on this ship. I would like to point out a few things to be aware of: 1. Age of Ship: I have seen some note that the ship was recently refurbished, but if it did, I did not see it. There was lots of visible ...

Celebrity Infinity vs Princess

We chose this cruise due to all the Greek ports that we wanted to visit. Embarkation was ok, miss the medallion of princess. Food is not the greatest. The aqua and retreat guest get a much better menu. Menu in the main dining room is less than 2 stars. Fish includes Cajun Spiced Drum, Tilapia of which is mostly farmed and you don’t want to know what they feed farmed raised Tilapia. As I ...
