Things started off on the negative side since we lost Turkey, lost the Cheers program and got hit with a 24% VAT tax. Once we got on the ship on a sunny day in Athens, it was all good and it turned out to be a great experience. I'm not sure if I'll cruise again since there are some aspects of the whole cruise experience I don't care for (too many deadlines and no night sight-seeing), but that has ...
Had a great cruse 20 years ago. We always wanted to do it again. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!
Paid extra for a balcony cabin on deck 9. We had 8 out of 10 nights without sleep. Buffet area is directly above the cabins as is the main pool area with nightime activities. The cleaning ou these areas is done in the early hours of the morning. Trolleys loaded with cups and plates etc roll over the textured ...
Our first cruise was on the Carnival Magic during it's inaugural season in 2011 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it seemed only fitting that we repeat the experience for our 35th on Carnival's newest ship, Vista.
We spent a couple of days in Athens pre-cruise and made our way to Piraeus via taxi. The embarkation process was really impressive, we arrived at just about the time suggested on ...
We chose this cruise as it was a brand new Carnival Ship thinking it would be awesome, we were very disappointed in comparison with other Cruise Companies, the lifts were dreadful, we were on the 14th floor and only 2 lifts to this floor, we waited ages for lifts and had a person in a wheelchair.
No reserved areas for wheelchair or disabled passengers in any of the function rooms or ...
A REAL FEELING OF BEING CONNED.
The cruise was advertised at a very good price, without giving any clues of outrageous price additions once on board.
The ship was clean and cabin and most areas in good condition(as expected as Vista is very new)
Food was just OK nothing special in MDR.
Speciality restaurants Ji Ji Asian and 555 superb (extra cost though)
Pixel photographers popping ...
This is our 4th cruise and second with Carnival. I booked this trip for my 50th birthday and took the family (two kids 10 and 12).
Carnival is fantastic if you have a family or want to have fun. Here are a few items I wanted to share:
Our room: 2409. Second floor mid ship. The room was very large with two baths. Note that only one has a toilet. There was a very large closet. The best part ...
I took my daughter on this cruise for her high school graduation and 18th birthday. We stayed in a Cloud 9 suite. The spa was amazing and I went there almost every day. The food was unbelievable. I'm not quite sure how people can say the food was "too fancy". Great food is great food! If you don't like steak and lobster or Beef Wellington...then just go get a pizza and cheese fries and quit ...
Should be called the Carnival Waiting, because all we seemed to do was wait for everything on the ship. Not enough elevators for the size and capacity of the ship - embarkations and disembarkations were a nightmare at every port. Not enough guest laundry facilities - lines on every floor each night so most had to wait until the middle of the night. Long wait times for activities. My kids were ...
