Disappointed

Second time travelling with Azamara (first since the takeover and what a difference between products. The crappy service started right from the arrival at Istanbul Airport. We had booked airport transfers through Azamara only to figure out for ourselves after waiting for an hour and numerous calls to their non existent ‘emergency’ help desk that they had not booked them so we had to catch a $70 ...

Great 7-Night Greece Intensive Cruise

This was our first cruise on Azamara and they completed exceeded our expectations. Coming out of COVID, we wanted to cruise on a smaller boat, and one of the recommendations from our travel agent was Azamara. Communications after booking the cruise were good. Port check-in and security clearance in Athens (Piraeus) was simple taking only about 30 min, and they did a very simple safety briefing ...

Disappointing

We chose this cruise as it was a smaller ship. We found it much more intimate, no queues and everybody was so friendly. The ship holds 700 passengers but there were only 400 on board. The negatives are the swimming pool was small which if the ship had full capacity this could be a problem. Even though the interior of the ship had been re-furnished they had not done the staterooms. The ...

First time on Azamara. Enjoying the smaller ship (700 passengers). Nicely refurbished. Cabin corridor however, seems under lit to me. Free Launderette on Deck 7 (mid ship) Washer, Dryer and Soap. Opened 8am to 9pm. Staff have been remarkably polite and attentive. Gold star. Food in the 2 speciality (extra fee) restaurants (Prime C - Steakhouse) and (Aqualina - ...

AZAMARA QUEST Sept 2022 Club continent suite. There were approx 520 guests on board (max capacity 690) Greece dropped the need to have a negative covid test the day we boarded!. The first thing our butler said was "there were only a few Covid cases in the previous week". Then mid way the captain announced 4 cases in isolation, but the rumour was that there were up to 13 positive . ...

Different Sea, Different Ship, same quality Cruiseline

This cruise could have been a disappointment. For that matter, this Greece-Turkey cruise could have been a dud. Instead the trip turned out to be our second thoroughly satisfying vacation on an Azamara ship this year. When we first booked the Black Sea cruise last year, we were really looking forward to finally going to Istanbul and seeing a different part of the world. Then the geopolitical ...

We were a little hesitant about getting aboard a cruise ship again. The crew and staff of Azamara were excellent, we very quickly realised that we were safer on this ship than being at home. The testing at embarkation was swift and very well organised and we were soon given the clearance to board the ship. A small group of us were shown the emergency drill, then onward to our cabin. The ...

We went from Athens to Cyprus, then Israel for 5 days (2 ports), then Crete and back to Athens. We stayed at the Electra Palace. Very good location, good shopping and restaurant near by. We also ate at the hotel. Breakfasts were excellent. Dinner on the 7th floor with the Acropolis overlook us. spectacular. We had an N2 cabin, port side near the aft elevators. The cabin was one of the best we ...

One of the best Cruise experiences we have had

We chose this cruise because we love Azamara cruises. The ships are good, The crew is very nice and treats guests very well. The ships only hold 700 or so guests so you get to know people easily and there are few children on board. Azamara seems to plan cruises that are designed to give to gust a very large exposure to the port cities of the countries they visit. The shore excursions are ...

Luxury Cruise? I don't think so

We wanted to travel through the Greek Isles and thought doing it on a cruise would be a luxury since it was our 30th anniversary. The destinations in general were very nice (other than a day in Igoumenitsa. The ship was outdated and not very luxurious. The food was very average and the choices were limited, especially at breakfast (a tune omellette?). The caption was very poorly spoken and the ...
