I’ll start with the pros: Outstanding staff – wait, room and bar staff were all superb. Professional and attentive. Praise goes to Milton and Mike in the Atlas bar. The perfect dynamic duo, gracious and fun. Food was excellent. We dined in Discoveries every night. Varied selections each night along with standards to order. Delicious and beautifully presented. If you have a favorite wait ...

Cruised over 25 times on the mid size to large ships with both Celebrity and Royal, and this was my thoughts on this trip as points against both Celebrity & Royal :- 1. Small ship was really good, even though it is an old ship with a new refurb, air conditioning not as good as the new ships, and with a full Theatre it became a little unbearable when the temp outside was high, otherwise anything ...

We chose this cruise over a year ago with the expectation of going to the Greek Isles and Israel. However, a week before the ship was due to leave on April 15th from Athens Greece, we were notified that our cruise has been redirected to Egypt with tours to Alexandria and Cairo to see the Pyramids due to the turmoil in Israel. I know the ships' captain was looking out for the welfare of the ...

We specifically booked this trip for the 4 days in Israel. It was my 4th booking for this (or similar) sailing; Azamara cancelled the first 2 and the 3rd was cancelled by covid. Sadly due to the current situation Azamara changed our intinerary. 1) they did a good job with the last minute plans for Egypt, I would have been extremely disappointed if this had turned into a Greek island ...

We booked this cruise because it offered 4 port days in Israel. The day before we were to get on the ship, while we were in transit to the ship, the itenerary was changed. Israel was taken off of the itenerary. This was a major disappointment. This is a old ship that has had upgrades, but not to the degree that one would expect for a so called luxury class cruise. The cabin was barely adequate ...

Israel, Egypt & Cypress: excellent excursions, good food, and good service

While searching for cruise-related information on the internet, I noticed an offer from Azamara for a last-minute deal on a cruise to Cypress, Israel, and Egypt. The price was excellent--less than I had just paid for a Princess cruise of the same length 2 months earlier. When I first saw the ship from the outside, I was taken aback as it appeared to be a much older-looking ship than I imagined. ...

AZAMARA QUEST Sept 2022 Club continent suite. There were approx 520 guests on board (max capacity 690) Greece dropped the need to have a negative covid test the day we boarded!. The first thing our butler said was "there were only a few Covid cases in the previous week". Then mid way the captain announced 4 cases in isolation, but the rumour was that there were up to 13 positive . ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, the destinations were mostly good apart from a change to Nauplion instead of Spetses. Mykonos was supposed to be docked instead we were taken ashore on tenders. Igoumenitsa was a waste of time nothing of note here .We had more tenders than was on itinerary which was disappointing. Training some of the staff to steer the tenders when passengers were ...

We chose this cruise because of itinerary, price and previous experience on Azamara Journey. We flew to Athens where we had an overnight stay in the Sofitel hotel at Athens airport. After breakfast next day we returned to the airport to get our private transfer to the port of Piraeus. The taxi dropped us off at the cruise terminal where we were swiftly checked in but because we were early, we had ...
