BACKGROUND AND BOTTOM LINE Avid cruiser, many times with Holland and Cunard. First time on Azamara and was in a suite. It will be our last. Exceedingly poor value. THE GOOD The shore excursions. While they contract with others to do them, they still get some credit for it. The size of the ship. The itinerary. THE BAD Communication before and after the cruise was ...

After reading on the Azamara board that.. "the reviews section seems to get a lot of 'one and done's – and that group of posters is always more negative than those who have more experience (with a cruise line, and with cruising in general)" .. I figured I would post my two cents as a multi time Azamara guest and long time cruiser (Celebrity, Azamara and SeaDream) and a "Destination Expert" on ...

We wanted to travel through the Greek Isles and thought doing it on a cruise would be a luxury since it was our 30th anniversary. The destinations in general were very nice (other than a day in Igoumenitsa. The ship was outdated and not very luxurious. The food was very average and the choices were limited, especially at breakfast (a tune omellette?). The caption was very poorly spoken and the ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and it as great. Ephesus was unbelievable and the private excursion was noteworthy. There were several great features and some poor features. The captain was delightful and went out of his way to be visible and friendly. The entertainment director is a very talented singer and entertainer and was a lot of fun. The cabin staff were very friendly and efficient. ...

We went on Holly Lands cruise Athens -> Istanbul, with Israel, Turkey and Greece ports. Azamara managed to completely ruin Israel, Phahos Greece) and Kas (Turkey) because all 3 days in Israel were a holiday and Shabbat: Thursday through Saturday. Why Azamara named this cruise Holly Lands (the main attraction of this cruise) just to schedule Israel on a holiday and Shabbat when everything ...

The Journey is a lovely ship and we were pleased with the roominess of our interior stateroom. Our cabin stewards were wonderful and without them keeping us supplied with complimentary sodas and water we probably would have been totally dehydrated. We found it took so long to get drink service in the buffet dining room that we took our own sodas to meals with us and my husband would get our own ...
