We were on the same cruise as an earlier negative reviewer; had a totally different experience! We had a verandah cabin, which had great storage ( we didn't even use it all) and utilized the desk and mirror area as a secondary makeup area. The food and drinks were awesome....the daily wines were pretty good as a whole and the staff was great about bringing us a previous wine if we did not like the ...
We were on the Athens to Nice sailing and had a great experience. To be honest, I was not expecting to like this cruise and thought many times to cancel. I’m glad I did not. We had a verandah cabin, which is the smallest cabin we’ve ever had. I was expecting a cramped room with little storage but was surprised in how well the cabin was designed. We did not feel cramped at all and had plenty ...
Although my wife and I have taken many cruises, our May 2016 Mediterranean cruise was our first on Royal Caribbean’s upscale Azamara line and for us it was a most enjoyable one. We rate it a solid B+.
Getting things off to a good start, our boarding process in Pireaus, Greece, was quick, easy and painless. Azamara’s shoreside crew was well-organized and well-managed, and we breezed through ...
Friends had sailed on Azamara before and raved about it, so we wanted to give it a try and we LOVED it ! Will be back ! The ship was smaller than our most recent cruises, and we loved that part of it, even though we were skeptical. Also loved the demographic - much more our speed - not many children, no rock climbing wall, no water slide, etc., etc. Very relaxed atmosphere and fantastic ...
so what does A.A.A mean, well everyone who has cruised with Azamara should have guessed that it"s absolutely amazing Azamara!! we cruised last july on the Quest and thought it was fantastic and thought it would be the same this year but it was even better,it was unbelievable. So a huge thank you to all the staff on the ship from Captain Carl Smith right down to all the staff who work behind the ...
We boarded in Athens in between daily strikes, an experience in itself. Getting on board was seamless and extremely easy. Our penthouse suite was beautiful, although smaller than it looked on the Azamara virtual tour. Our first night was dinner in Aqualina. The dinner was tremendous and ended with chocolate souffles. going to bed , we discovered it was two twin mattresses put together with a nice ...
Azamara Quest May 2009
Having cruised before several times with Celebrity and being a "club member" It was the natural choice for my 60th birthday. Costa was fine, great food etc. but loud in every sense - RCI we found to be a fun ships but perhaps not the Quality of our previous experience with Celebrity - so why not push the boat out (pun) and go for their 5 star plus brand Azamara .
The ...
Pre-cruise Package We arrived in Athens two days ahead of embarking on our 14 day cruise from Piraeus, Greece to Civitavecchia, Italy. Our travel agent arranged a pre-cruise package at which included airfare, hotel for 2 nights and transfer to the port. We stayed at the Athenaeum Intercontinental, which was a very nice hotel and were transferred by a very comfortable bus to the port on Saturday. ...
We arrived at the port in Piraeus, Athens and the check-in was pretty smooth. Although Azamara Cruises offer open seating policy we were requested to decide on when we wanted to dine the first evening. We took the latest option at 9 pm.
STATE ROOM Boarding was also pretty efficient and soon we arrived at our state room 7112 in the category of Sunset Veranda's. The room was as expected in terms ...
