We sailed on the sister ship Jade last year and had a great cruise. The Jewel was a Big disappointment.

This was our 5th Silversea Cruise and we choose it for the Itinerary. First time on the Spirit, embarkation was good, cabin great as usual.

Second time in Southeast Asia. First time on cruise. Second time on Norwegian. The only good thing on Norwegian is they hire great dancers and fairly good singers and great acrobats. I sailed on the silver spirit a few years ago when butlers wore white gloves, the food was excellent in all areas of the ship. A key ring light was beside your bed if you needed it in the dark. Nuts and smarties were replenished in the room as well if you wanted to nibble with a wine. What a disappointment this one was. We booked this cruise two years ago as our friends were also planning to visit Japan. Stayed in Tokyo for 3 nights and 1 in Yokohama. Loved it. Lots to see and do and loved the friendliness of the people.
Have traveled with Celebrity twice previously and enjoyed both trips. Sadly, the cruise portion of this trip was very disappointing.

We had a wonderful experience with Silversea cruising the Baltic before they were recently bought by Royal Carribean, but our recent experience was absolutely the WORST ever even on lines with fewer stars. Note that the Royal Carib is now the most profitable of the big cruise lines, and it appears this profit is being extracted by cost cutting and penurry.

My husband and I just returned from the Silver Whisper in Japan. A little background, we have over 25 cruises under our belts including 5 since Covid ended, this cruise being our 6th post-Covid. This was a strange mixture of everything from perfect to intolerable on a small ship luxury voyage.
