The last time I sailed on Arcadia was five years ago. I’d blown some of my savings on a once-in-a-lifetime world cruise and loved every minute. The ports were fabulous and the service on board could not be faulted, but the ship didn’t win me over. Yes, I found the public areas spacious but Arcadia didn’t dazzle: the décor was bland, the styling unmemorable.

We chose this cruise as it took in 7 ports of call of interest. This was our 5th cruise with P&O but the first time on Arcadia. Weather was fine and calm which helped, but everything from food to entertainment was the best we have experienced. First time in the Arcadia and it was absolutely first class. The entertainment in the Palladium was second to none and as good as any London West End Show. Love this ship, itinerary took us to a couple of new places. The ship was full but never felt crowded. Food was lovely... I put on 4lbs. I had to make a choice every night...and the strawberry sundae was delicious!

The cabin with balcony was spacious, the bathroom a bit cramped but adequate and everything cleaned to a high standard every day. Cabin staff ..especially Rona were always cheerful even though it was obvious they were under pressure to complete their work.
