We recently returned from a 12 night cruise around the Med on Anthem which was painfully long to the point we were looking for flights home at different ports and had there been available we would of 100% got off. The ship is majorly overcrowded not 1 day out of the 12 did we get a bed let alone a seat beside the pool or even close to the area. A number of times we just had to leave our stuff ...
Had cruised a few times before but not on this ship.
Dont like the design of this class of ship.
The communual spaces are too small no central atrium as some of their other ships.
Which means that the only inside space is on decks 4/5, this space is too small for 4000 guests.
The swimming pools are to small to actually swin in, too crowded with kids.
The food was awful most night ...
I'll start with the positives, because there aren't many:
+ The cabin was nice (though it should be for the price)
+ The shower worked well
+ Good for teenagers - plenty of activities for them, kid's pool is open til 10pm and they'll love all the frozen pizza (which is all you'll be able to get after 8.30pm).
On to the negatives:
- Food. This was absolutely my biggest issue. The ...
Chose this one as we had previously been on Indepence of The Seas a few years ago, It made an impression, we thought would be same. How wrong!
Here's a few moans,
Cabin cleaner would knock on the door before 6pm each night asking if wanted cabing cleaning, even though have a magnetic note which is placed outside door to inform him, he even came into cabin whilst we were asleep before 6pm ...
We are diamond plus cruisers with RCCL. However, this cruise was a wake-up call after the Covid shut down RCCL have cut everything to the bone. The first night 2 untrained waiters served cold main course steak with fries, had a replacement Steak and fries but could not cut the Steak with the provided steak knife so this once again got returned, This happened 5 times on various occasions to me ...
We are avid RC cruisers, only 3 of our last 12 (2013- present) have been on a different line.
Pretty new ship but after only 6 months the cabins are pretty dirty already. Hallway carpeting looks 3 years old.
Bad weather that is no one's fault HOWEVER the cruise director, Luke, has done nothing to create extra things to do while pools and hot tubs are closed. Limited live music, shows being ...
My husband and I have been on 60 plus cruises. We have been on several cruise lines and Diamond Plus members on RCL. We will never go on this class of Ship again. Please RCL get some more staff because it's a beautiful ship.
Embarkation went good and we went at our requested appointment time.
There was not any seats available hardly ever in the buffet.
Food in all the no charge ...
Where do i begin? From the chaos of not organising the coaches effectively taking us to / from the ship, to failing to top up the soft drinks for days on certain machines, to failing to clean slippery spills in a restaurant completely when the ship was about to enter severe weather (and causing at least one serious avoidable fall), to the captain not caring / understanding that food should either ...
As a frequent cruiser, we have come to expect certain niceties when we board a ship. We took the maiden voyage across the Atlantic on this ship and were very disappointed. So much so that we will never cruise Royal Caribbean again.
To begin with, we waited over two hours to board. Just too many people. They could not handle us. We reserved our entertainment and restaurants before we left- on ...
This new ship was clean and new on arrival. The cabin was immaculate. We booked for the shows and restaurant. However we had to wait for long periods of time for a table in the evening and had to stand outside the theatre waiting to be let in. At breakfast we ate at the buffet in the windjammer. It was packed and very difficult to find a seat. The food was cold by he time we got a seat. In the ...
