An Alaskan cruise was definitely a "bucket list" item for us. We had heard Princess was the best line for Alaska. Our experience on the ship, however, was mixed. Of course the scenery and ports did not disappoint (although towns were definitely geared to tourists). However, the customer service, food and activities on the ship were a mixed bag. I am glad we were booked on a small ship and were able to cruise Glacier Bay, but we will never cruise with Princess again. The ship is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Cabin steward and service throughout ship was good. Cabin well above 70 degrees throughout even though thermostat set on cold. Glad balcony had a door which opened. Food was disappointing- buffet breakfast was a zoo fighting aggressive people for a table. Lunch and dinner selections big on sushi, Indian....stuff I don't eat.

We cruised the inside passage of Alaska for a week. No complaints at all. Our cabin attendant Maria was very pleasant as were all of the waiters and other staff.
