REGENT SEVEN SEAS REVIEW
Last Fall we went on a Regent Seven Seas Alaskan tour. It was the worst trip I have ever been on in my life. It was also the only trip my family did not plan, and book, by ourselves. I have been to more than 25 countries (including Russia, Japan, East Germany, and Peru) as well as 40 states. Although tested the day of departure, I got Covid 19 and had to be taken off ...
We were blessed with amazing weather in late May. Every day was fantastic during a 7 trip voyage. The ship was 60% full and the first voyage of the ship after the COVID closure. Crew was super excited and friendly - it was just a great atmosphere and the experience was fantastic. We truly enjoyed the restaurants, particularly Silver Note and La Dame. Kaiseki was closed during lunchtime given the ...
I have never been on a cruise before so needless to say, we were very excited with high expectations. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in Norwegian. We started our tour on land in Fairbanks. We started our land tour with several stops that were very enjoyable. It was pouring rain and a lot of tourists did not want to go on the River Boat so our tour guide Grace, set up an excursion to ...
This trip which was supposed to be very special for my husband and I, for our 40th wedding anniversary, turned out to be very bad and disappointing. It was absolutely far from our expectation of this cruise line with its so called great reputation, and the huge amount of fair we paid.
Transportation was supposed to be included but we were asked to pay $290 for transportation to the boat from ...
1. Anchorage - Hilton is average and why bother with that breakfast on the 15th floor before the shuttle. Just a miserable bacon and eggs with some bakery items and terrible fruit. That is not a great way to start a cruise. If you are going to offer this (and I really did not even expect it), just let people go to buffet downstairs which is much better. We did the coastal bike trail - great easy ...
We landed in Anchorage and bused to the boat! What appeared to be a two hour bus-ride became a scenic tour with a very witty and knowledgeable driver. Arriving in Seward we were greeted with champagne, smiles and more champagne. Our room was inviting, well laid out in-keeping with a luxury experience. The common rooms were all equally well laid out, well kept and luxurious. The food was generally ...
First time on Celebrity which we, an active senior couple, would chose again. After several days in Anchorage, we boarded the train to Seward booked thru Celebrity. We had an extremely comfortable ride in glass-encased car thru fabulous scenery while enjoying reasonably priced food & wonderful commentary. Having done pre-boarding check-in, embarkation was a snap. Our immaculate cabin had plenty ...
Boat held around 2,500 passengers.....easy to get around....ate mostly in formal dining room....food was fabulous.....had a balcony room for the first time, boy, did we get spoiled! Now my husband wants only balcony rooms in the future! We will definitely take alaska cruise again. Enjoyed all the ports....our whale watching excursion in juneau was exceptional .....our train ride to the yukon from ...
Far to many issues to mention but generally product is ok, ship old and needs a refit. Suites are old but clean and butler service was a nice touch.
Food is good but execution and service levels poor. No one goes out of the way to make you feel special.
Is second rate to Seabourn who provide that extra touch.
Free tours generally are a waste of time though paid are fairly good.
Don't ...
on the 27th of July my family and i (all grownups) went on the Alaska cruise of the Norwegian sun. as we entered the ship we were very disappointed and shocked from the (very) old fashioned decor of the atrium. afterward we discovered that it's like that all around.
we went to have late lunch on the buffet at the 11th floor and discovered big selection of very bad quality food and a soup ...
