First time on Celebrity which we, an active senior couple, would chose again. After several days in Anchorage, we boarded the train to Seward booked thru Celebrity. Boat held around 2,500 passengers.....easy to get around....ate mostly in formal dining room....food was fabulous.....had a balcony room for the first time, boy, did we get spoiled! Now my husband wants only balcony rooms in the future! We will definitely take alaska cruise again. We did a 7 night cruise tour with Celebrity which started in Fairbanks, prior to boarding the ship in Anchorage for another 7 nights. We've talked to friends who have started with the cruise and finished with the land portion, and that's not nearly as good a way to do it.
