We took a cruise on the Royal Princess that stopped at Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan. We did a pre-cruise tour so the embarkment process was very smooth. Majoirty of check-in was done prior to our arrival at the cruise port. The interior room was your average cruise room. We did anytime dining and it was very disapointing compared to other cruises I have been on. The food options were limited and ...
We did this cruise for the itinerary, overall the cruise ship was good. Food was pretty good, boat was big enough not to feel too crowded, decor was nice and fairly new, entertainment (except for the very funny comedian) was ok, enrichment was also ok (some presenters seemed very politically motivated)... just the facts would have been better. Beach Club for teens was excellent. Embarkation and ...
The ship is beautiful and well kept. The staff was mostly friendly but many didn’t seem to know the right answers - new crew? Not well trained?
The drinks at Good Spirits were outstanding. The very handsome blonde guy who taught how to make the cocktails was great.
We were initially assigned to D207 a deluxe balcony, but the room had a terrible odor either dirty feet or vomit. We ...
I chose this cruise specifically to photograph the inner passage. Booked the large suite in the back of the boat. Apparently this ship is too large to navigate the inner passage and instead detoured out to sea for a day of watching rough waves. Never notified us of the change either before the sailing or the day of. The suite was nice, deck large bathroom beautiful. The air quality in the suite ...
I am glad we were booked on a small ship and were able to cruise Glacier Bay, but we will never cruise with Princess again. The ship is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Everything was old and outdated. Princess also needs to overhaul the food and entertainment onboard. I have never had such bad food on a cruise ship. Not only was the quality and execution bad, the portions were very ...
Cabin steward and service throughout ship was good. Cabin well above 70 degrees throughout even though thermostat set on cold. Glad balcony had a door which opened. Food was disappointing- buffet breakfast was a zoo fighting aggressive people for a table. Lunch and dinner selections big on sushi, Indian....stuff I don't eat.
Main dining room more civilized. Food selections inconsistent ...
Wanted the land tour along with our repeat of the cruise portion from years before. Found the accommodations at the Princess Cruise lodges in Denali, Fairbanks and McKinley somewhat primitive, but certainly adequate. The one night in Anchorage was at the Captain Cook Hotel and found the facility and of superior quality. A great 5 stars for them. We recommend that in the Princess Hotels that room ...
We chose this trip because we’ve never been to Alaska and wanted to see a lot. We did the right thing by doing the 5 day land tour first. We started in Fairbanks and stayed at the Princess River lodge 2 nights. The room was adequate and the beds comfortable. Really enjoyed the River cruise and gold dredge tour but the lunch provided wasn’t good. Perfect weather. On to Denali where we went on the ...
We just returned from a wonderful cruise to Alaska. We did the land tour first followed by a cruise. Definitely my preferred order. My group loved the size of the Coral Princess. It could get into the bays and near the Glaciers the larger ships can't get near. The staff was wonderful, so friendly and helpful.
Try the margaritas in the Crooners Lounge, they are the BEST!
The beds are ...
We booked our cruise through Costco last year. Costco gave us added extras which were very nice.
Prior to the cruise there was 4 day land tour, on your own, which was so very wonderful. We actually liked the land portion more than the cruise, nothing against the cruise however. We were excited about the land portion and absolutely wonderful.
We flew into Fairbanks early in the morning. ...
