Sad to have missed Flam. Booked this trip to take the train in Flam and did not get to do it

I wanted to see the fjords. I have always wanted to visit Norway. The ship is beautiful. The attention to detail is what makes Viking special. The crew and staff are amazing. I loved the cruise. We could not dock in Flam due to high winds. That made me very sad. I really wanted to take that train ride. The captain was great in taking us slowly through the fjords and it was beautiful but not the ...

Embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. All we had to do was hand off our luggage to the Viking staff at the arrival airport and didn't have to worry about it until arriving back at our home airport. They even arranged busses to take us to the airport at 3:00 A.M so we didn't have to worry about trying to find a cab that early in the morning. The cabin was cleaned twice a day and kept ...

We have cruised on 4 different cruise lines. This was our first time on Viking. In comparison to other cruise lines, Viking is elegant, subdued, classic, and very grown-up. This goes beyond the fact there were no children on board. Every time I strolled through the ship, there was a beautiful violin/cello duet playing. The onboard seminars were as educational as a college class. There was ...

The ship and shipboard experience was outstanding. The ports were a little disappointing - we were not able to make the sop in Denmark due to weather but I expected more of the scenery we got on our last port (Flam)

I went with a friend and this was her pick. I had been to Oslo in the past but had not spent anytime around the Fjords. I know the world is still coping with Covid but we did have a bit of a hassle with the covid test required before the sailing. We had spent 3 days in Amsterdam so then had to find a place to get the test, at our expense, when it seems like the Viking labs could have done that ...

The cruise was quite good. The ship was in incredibly good shape, the tour directors Edward and Max were excellent. great guided tours on land.Excellent lectures by astronomer Dr Brad Hughes and historian Dr. Bazin. The fjord cruise to Flam was breathtaking. The food was excellent and the crew was incredibly polite and friendly. On our last day, Thursday we interpreted from the brochures that we ...

Norway was on my bucket list and I had an excellent experience with Viking River Cruise a few years ago. Boarding was relatively simple (much simpler than for a larger cruise liner). The room was very nice and the lounge areas were very comfortable. Entertainment was just ok but that was not why we took this cruise so that was alright. I appreciated the excursions and in that respect very similar ...

We booked this cruise to see the Northern Lights. We did see the lights several times. Unfortunately our cruise was cut short due to losing engine power in the middle of a storm. We were evacuated by helicopter. All in all, Viking, the crew, helicopter rescue crew, the Norwegian Red Cross, the support personnel, and the people of Molde were excellent in responding to assist us. Viking tried ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

Okay. I still think Viking Ocean cruises are the best. Our first Viking ship - the Sky - broke down & our cruise was truncated. BUT, overall, our recent Amsterdam to Barcelona cruise was above average: The ship is beautiful and, even though this was a full cruise, there’s still some places I haven’t made it to... Torshaven - I’m looking at you! I love that this is an adults-only cruise for the ...
